Subtitles look "darker" when playing HDR content
#1
Hi. Latest stable Kodi runs on a Google TV. Android 11. It is mostly perfectly fine. However, whenever i play HDR content, Kodi gui (not much of an issue really) and the "subtitles" (that is the issue) look darker. The film itself is perfectly bright and colors are correct. Only the subtitles, which are supposed to be bright white are a little bit on the darker shade of white let's say and that makes them harder to read, especially when a lot is going on on the screen. I checked and the subtitle settings in Kodi are not the problem. The color is set to white there. The subtitles are coming from "srt" files and there are no color coding in the file itself.

There's a setting to adjust this now.
