It's one of the popular addons for watching Movies and TV Shows. (http://addons.tvaddons.ag/show/plugin.video.genesis/)
It allows adding Movies and TV Shows to library directly from the addon.

Oh okay. I didn't know that. Why is banned, if I may ask? Should I assume that it won't be supported as it's banned?

are you sure you installed this plugin and not Rating Update http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=107331 ?
my add-on does not use php-cgi but Rating Update does.

That addon is great and I enabled the weekly update... and for some reasons the addon thinks weekly means each 30 minutes? ^^
I watched an 3hour movie yesterday and I don't know how often I got the notification that the script is updating while I was watching it.
