RE: WMC as the backend - released - okawkgi80 - 2013-08-21 (2013-08-21, 16:40)cdan_smith Wrote:(2013-08-21, 12:42)okawkgi80 Wrote:(2013-08-19, 16:38)cdan_smith Wrote: Hey Krusty - Have been watching this development for a while with baited breath ... glad to see it progress to release! Thanks for the reply cdan_smith. Really appreciate it! Definitely downloaded the linux client and followed the same steps you've done in installation. The problem seems to occur after this point, when i try to enable it as my PVR client. Server is also running on a different machine with WMC set up showing database "open" with channels found. Other PVR clients seem to get enabled fine though, so I am uncertain if this is a problem with PVR functionality in my build. Any thoughts would be very welcomed. Excuse my lack of knowledge here but how do i check the logging? Thanks again! I'm running the latest OpenELEC (Intel build). Similar to your experience, I found dragging the zip file to the addon directory to fail, but when I "install from zip file", it installs fine. But that's where it stops for me. Once i try to enable the addon as my PVR client I get " An unknown error has occured. Add-on could not be loaded". I haven't used this yet, but I'm very excited to see it released To take a stab at what might be happening (actually taking a stab at what you might try to solve it). It sounds like you aren't able to configure the add-on, and if so . . .

An unknown error has occured. Add-on could not be loaded" Thanks for taking a stab at this! Any thoughts on what could be causing this? RE: WMC as the backend - released - Dilligaf - 2013-08-21 Is your install 32 bit or 64 bit ![]() RE: WMC as the backend - released - krustyreturns - 2013-08-21 (2013-08-21, 18:07)cdan_smith Wrote: So it seems I now have a corrupt EPG - probably through all the different configuration changes. When I try and "Reset EPG Database" from the Settings/Live TV menu, it just hangs - same behavior when I try and show the EPG. Anyone know how to clean out the EPG another way? Yes this is normal. An 'entry' means an entry in the EPG, i.e. a tv program. So its a count of how many episodes it has transferred to the client(s). I should probably rename this to something more obvious. Like 'program'? RE: WMC as the backend - released - okawkgi80 - 2013-08-21 (2013-08-21, 22:07)Dilligaf Wrote: Is your install 32 bit or 64 bit Oh my install is 64 bit actually. Didn't realize the build was 32 bit only! Thanks for that. Anyone know how I can get a 64 bit of this client for OpenELEC? Really looking forward to trying this awesome addon! Is anyone working on a 64 bit version? Wish I can help somehow RE: WMC as the backend - released - krustyreturns - 2013-08-21 (2013-08-21, 17:04)cdan_smith Wrote:(2013-08-20, 21:15)krustyreturns Wrote:(2013-08-20, 21:05)cdan_smith Wrote: OK I think we have the culprit. Here's the snip from the log: I don't think I can control the order of the recorded tv files I assume its dictated by xbmc, but its an experiment I plan to do once I finish this win8 nightmare. I like the way WMC has options for displaying recordings grouped by series, but can't find a way to do that in the XBMC UI ... Correct, the ordering is controlled by XBMC... If you open the context menu © while in Recorded TV, you can choose to sort by date or name. RE: WMC as the backend - released - drewscm - 2013-08-22 I am probably repeating something that has come up, (I did search but didn't find), recorded tv shows free after 10 -15 minutes. Any ideas? Any ideas? Hi. Can you explain more about the problem? I don't understand what you mean by 'free after 10 - 15 minutes'. Do you mean freeze? I closed down the WMC server on the client and restarted it, and then was able to setup the firewall. If it's the same problem for you, I'd look into how to manually setup the needed firewall port. Maybe there's a port class too - you could try changing the port in both the server and in XBMC.
