I see your point though about thumbnails giving away the storyline. I personally watch a lot of reruns and having a thumbnail gives me a quick reminder of what a particular episode was about.

Actually you got me, I said CCM-Helix should be the same as default confluence on initial install. So I'll change the widget back to showing thumbnails with the option to use the fanart for those who don't want to see images that give away any part of the storyline.

It's disappearance is temporary, before I added CCM-Helix to the repo I had to hide the settings that were misbehaving "Hide Background Fanart" was one of them. Soon as I sort it out so that it does what it says it does I'll re-enable it.

@jcorsaut - don't think we should squash up the addons, next users will be saying there's plenty of rom to have 10,12,15.........
@flhthemi - looks interesting, but I think we need more room for RSS (Do users ever have it turned on?) also we'll get the too low brigade starting up.

As for RSS feeds, when I installed this skin from day 1, it and the kodi video both get turned off before I do anyrhing else setting the skin up. RSS feed is very distracting to me.
Side note, in a short period of time this thread has grown to 10 pages! This is a very popular skin and well liked by a number of Kodi users. Mudislander, you should be very proud of your work and of its acceptance by the Kodi community. Therefore I would like to say it would be a grand gesture for each person using any of mudislander's skins to donate even a small amount to him. His wife needs that box of chocolate ASAP! Soon as my Social Security check hits the bank this month I will be sending along a meager but well earned contribution.

Mudislander, I don't need the labels with the addons if that helps to allow the icons to be positioned just above the lower menu option.
Which ever way it can be accomplished, I would prefer to have the option for a low menu, add-on shortcuts placed above, then widgets. Maybe your idea of having 7 add-ons for those not using "now playing info" and 5 for those that do would work best.

Would it be possible to get a truly fullscreen view as an option in CCM for Helix?
What I mean is for some addons, such as Google Images, due to Google's API it is impossible to be able to do a search term, and then be able to view each result as a fullscreen image. Instead, we are left with clicking one result, and viewing it along with all the other images on that webpage, and having to then return to the main search results menu and do the same thing again.
In all, using some of the views already included in CCM, such as 'Image Wrap and even 'List,' I can simply highlight a particular search result image and get a small-to-medium image on the screen being shown which I can scroll through. However, no fullscreen option view to make each image fullscreen.
Basically, I am just curious if this could be possible, namely as a way to get around Google's API restrction which GoogleImages, for one has. Also, it would make a simple image search I feel like doing through Google or even another picture addon really cool as I can create a slideshow on my TV.

Thanks for the updates to the skin, its coming along great
There seems to be lots of interest in the way the skin is developing so i'm just reminding about the broken random movies and tv episodes widget which brings me to my next small concern, what originally brought me to CCM was that it ran on any htpc and added a great amount of customization to the default skin, im concerned that if all suggestions are added the skin may end up resource heavy with alot of dependencies and then not feel alot like the original CCM, i read that the goal was to keep it as close to the gotham CCM as possible but integrate some of the new swanky skinning updates kodi brings I really hope this is still the goal i think a few of the less powerful htpcs are hoping the same also Thanks!!
P.S Maybe a Lite version in the future is possible, that's only ofc if it does start to get heavy

I just wanted to mention further on the ExtendedInfo Script: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=160558.
It is progressing nicely and now actually can work as its only add-on for getting info and video clips on movies and actors. The built-in browser is pretty cool, and with the eventual inclusion of it into this skin (ie, having an 'ExtendedInfo option when you press 'i' or get into the movie/tv show info box) would really be great.

loving your new mod so far. No major problems for me so far. One question though. Is it possible to completely remove a Main Menu Item, especially "Stream" from the homescreen? I was looking in settings and set Menu Item 10 to "Clear" but that results only in an empty spot on the homescreen ...
