I feel those views share the same kind of simplicity that I like of all your skins and AZ2 in particular and I think some of those views could be translated to your design philosophy.

Fanart Logo → Just the movie poster and the name or some logo (could be that it is with a logo, but I haven't scanned all my movie art yet) So title could be replaced with poster (or be an option in the skin settings)
Image

Thumb Info → Just 1 bigger poster; 2 rows of smaller ones + an info box. Similar to the KOver2 one further below, but with 2 rows instead of one
Image

Fanart → just a fanart background, with the movie list on top
Image

Banner List → the banner of the selected tv show on top; list below that and info on the right. I really like the position of the banner, as it is not in the middle of the row, but on top.

What I especially like in the Box skin is that it has transparancy when art is missing. So instead of a big black box where the poster ought to be, you could see the background fanart

I also like this view from KOver2. This could be translated to AZ2 as 1 row of 5 posters, a "2 poster wide" movie info box and only the fanart above it.

Also, in AZ2 the Info Wall view is missing in the lowest levels of the TV shows. I can select it in both the show list and season list, but the view is missing at the episode level.
I dont see how any of these fit with the design philosophy of the skin. AZ will never be a "fanart" skin that shows off the background. You are essentially asking for a completely different skin.

I can see why you say that, but then perhaps I did not made myself clear on what I mean exactly. English is not my native language, so I'll try to be better at explaining myself. I do not intend to offend you in any way ofcourse!

What you've done so far with AZ2 is sheer brilliance and I really like its design language: smooth, clean, simple, beautiful. I really do not want to have another skin or a revamp. I just intended to explain that I miss the movie title in AZ2's lovefilm view. That is the closest AZ2 comes to a fanart view but for my taste it is missing the movie title. Would you consider making that an option in the skin settings → lovefilm view with/without movie title. I understand why you feel that all other examples that I've posted are too fanart driven to fit in AZ2. What I just like about those views is where the posters, movie titles or movie info is situated. I have no need for only fanart, cause that indeed would not fit into AZ2. So I totally agree with you.

Another thing that I really like in the Box skin is the way it handles movies that have no art scraped yet. In AZ2, it will show a placeholder instead of the movieposter. In Box it just shows the background. Would it be possible to make that a option in the skin settings too? Like option 1: placeholder; option 2: full transparency; option 3: see through window.

Hope I have explained myself a bit better this way and the above makes more sense [emoji23][emoji106][emoji106]

Have you checked my question about the Info Wall view in the episodes level? Is it really missing, or did I mess something up?

Ah okay I see what you are saying. Yes that all makes sense.

Some sort of title plus also an info version of lovefilm are already planned.

Also an info wall view for episodes will be coming. The current view is not available because I don't think poster art makes sense for episode views.

I'm not keen on the idea of not showing placeholder when no art is available. I'm wary of adding too many options because the settings start to get bloated and become overwhelming.

Some of the other views have some interesting approaches that I will consider.

Thanks for your advice Smile
I tried blurred using aperture mOS a few days ago but I couldn’t get the same glow effect. I'll try again sometime over the weekend.
Ah yeah the skin increases the background transparency if blur is enabled, so you can't get quite the same effect with just a photo shopped static image. I'll have a look at allowing blur with fanart turned off.
Thanks  Smile Cool

I'm not quite sure what you mean exactlyHuh

Well, you seem to have got a lot of time in your hands.

And congratulations to jurialmunkey on AZ2 completing 100 pages of replies in a period of no time. Smile

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - Priesy - 2019-04-10

Will you be adding the Colour Cycling option to this skin?
It was a visual feature I very much liked in Aura

Cheers

Any way to make this optional? Especially for movies it's hideous, since it's usually a copy-pasted logo on a random image. I'd rather have it use the fanart instead. Or do I have to revert and stick to an older build now? Sad

why don't you remove the landscape art that you don't like?

No, too much overhead. Plus, AZ is not as focused on colour as Aura is.

Will it default back to fanart that way?

Edit: nope. Please make it optional, it now reverts back to the 'general' series thumb/landscape Sad

I think you can replace them in the skin folder with a colored one.

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - mrsix - 2019-04-10

So I have Multiple Widget Layout and horizontal menu enabled.
The default global widget (RandomMovies.xsp) will automatically cycle through the various movies in that list.
For Movies however I have the widget set to 'recently added movies' (and no other widgets) which doesn't ever cycle, it seems to just stay on whatever movie it lands on (usually the first in the list) - there doesn't seem to be an option in the widget settings to make it scroll or anything. Is this possible?

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - jimmisavage - 2019-04-10

What does "Add landscape art and only use clearlogo as fallback" mean in the latest update?

After install I'm not showing clear logos on the home widget. How can I get these back please?

RE: Arctic: Zephyr 2 - Sjors125 - 2019-04-10

I had about the same question. I noticed it is cycling just a few moments ago. Is it possible to set other widgets to cycle automaticly, even when there are 2 or more widgets displayed? For example, I have 2 widgets on the movie hub: new/recent added movies and in progress movies. I do understand that it is impossible (and not wanted) to have them both displaying a corresponding background at the same time, but could it be possible to set which widget also shows the background when in cycling mode? Let's say, it could be always the one that is on top, or we could select it with a tick/untick box in the hub settings. Using the mouse or remote would than overwrite the cycling and shows only the info/background of the selected/highlighted movie, where after a few seconds/minutes without activity, the cycling starts again.
