For the first 2 John Wick movies there are really great Animated Posters made:

I looked a little bit cause we want as always use the "main poster" as main source:

But this motive is most downloaded and highest rated on fanart.tv:

Both looking good, a also cannot make a decision wich is fitting better, and on both there are possibilities for animation effects,
on the first with sun to make some lens flare bling bling stuff effects (there is already i little sun lens flare reflection in the poster),
or on the second with the neon "gloriole" make some neon bling bling pulse effect.
Optional also a really discreet smoke effect of the gun but in my opinion this would fit only on the second motive (but unfortunately the logo will covers the weapon again)
As mostly it's more comfortable the use the textless poster (keyart) as source and put the posterlogo afterwards back in the same position.

Im trying to up my game and learn how to do these Animated Posters,ive concentrated on making boxsets for Emby for 4 years. But do not mind helping out the kodi team if i can.

My take on John Wick 3...
Not totally like the official poster,
There are times I will take certain creative liberties that help facilitate what I imagine the animation should look
like.
EDITS: smoothed out statue arm animation....and added textless
