I get no sound over my Denon Receiver when playing music with spotify and Kodi Leia build 25.5.2018. Sound with tv or movie works normal. When i set the Denon as spotify connect device it works but not local with Kodi. I tried everything but nothing works.

Spotify addon 1.1.56 fresh install from marcelveldt's repository. Win 7x64 with Kodi 17.6
The add-on within Kodi is working, music is playing, I can browse and search etc. - its fantastic. But very frequently, spotty.exe crashes and the windows dialogue box notifying me of such minimizes Kodi. Music continues to play, I can click ok on the notification box and go back into my minimized Kodi, no problem.
Generally when listening to music, I shut off my screen, so its not a huge deal breaker currently, but the crashing and notifications within windows keep from leaving Kodi on screen and enjoying visualizations etc.Not sure what logs to provide, let me know, I'm happy to help participate in troubleshooting. Note, on another PC I can't use the add-on, as spotty.exe is constantly flagged by my A/V (Sophos home). I'm running a different a/v on the machine with the frequent spotty.exe crashes above, so I will test disabling a/v to see if it has a positive impact on the issue.

Actually it's Kodi itself that is showing that entry in the context menu but apparently it doesn't accept the http location to be added to the local library. It's a shame because it would have been cool if the Spotify library was synced up to the Kodi library.

Maybe someone can give me a hand with my problem. Spotify works well for a few hours but always ends with the restart of my Raspberry Pi.

Oddly enough since I did a fresh install of the addon I never saw it again. The message popped up randomly but I think it happened more often when my pc lost internet or network connection for a short while.

does anybody knows how to autostart a specific playlist when starting kodi?
For some months it was possible by adding xbmc.executebuiltin('RunPlugin(plugin://plugin.audio.spotify/?action=play_playlist&playlistid=[playlistid]&ownerid=[ownerid])') in autoexec.py in ..kodi/userdata/
Curiously "browsing" is still working >action=browse_playlist<, but unfortunately >action=play_playlist< didnt' work anymore. There is an emtpy window which gets back.
I used newest version of the AddOn 1.1.56.

Hi.
I don't know how or why, but the addon overwrites the guisettings and changes the audio volume to 50 %.
If i deaktivate the addon audio works normal with the last used setting (100%).

Can confirm! Since version 1.1.57 i am facing the same issue (recent milhouse x86). With version 1.1.56 no such problems.

Disable the addon and create a new profile specifically for spotify and enable the addon on the new profile. While I can play spotify this way and this bug dont interfere with my movie watching, I still need to increase the volume when playing spotify on the nrew profile.
Waiting for the fix to happen.

Hi, with 1.1.57 I had the same volume issue while playback worked fine. Now on 1.1.58 the addon doesn't play back anything.
update: seem to have trouble with Spotify connect. I managed to play remote my Android devices. But from Kodi itself it doesn't work anymore. When I choose the playback device as local Playback I must enter host/ip address. I used the Spotify homepage as URL, then playback seems running but it only switches track by track through the list without being able to play something.
i tried logging off all my devices from Spotify, as well reinstalling the addon. But all stays the same.

I'm really interested in playing Spotify playlists using curl to execute playback. I think I'm really close.. When I execute the below command, Kodi will say, "Please wait", "Buffering.." then nothing happens. I think I might be missing something. Could you please help me to make this work? I'd really appreciate it. I tried asking this on the Kodi JSON subforum; but, not getting any help there. I was able to get the playlist ID by browsing the Spotify addon via Kodi web interface.
