RE: WMC as the backend - released - miker25 - 2013-11-23 Only when I try recorded videos, live tv works fine. RE: WMC as the backend - released - scarecrow420 - 2013-11-23 @TheImmortal, the link to your Frodo repository is giving a 404 error for me (looks like all the other files/structure are in your google drive ok but just the actual repo zip file isnt there) RE: WMC as the backend - released - TheImmortal - 2013-11-23 (2013-11-23, 11:45)scarecrow420 Wrote: @TheImmortal, the link to your Frodo repository is giving a 404 error for me The link has been fixed. Thank you for letting me know. RE: WMC as the backend - released - spaceboy - 2013-11-23 hello, so i think have worked out where my problems lie. it was suggested that the problems i was having with playback of wtv files on the pi was due to size. further testing confirms thats probably the case although i've had some as small as 3.1Gb that will not plays and some as large as 6.1Gb that do play so quite a bit of crossover. not sure what else i can look at here? the follow up suggestion was to use the option to mux to ts. well that works but streams die after a random length of time. this happens on pi and on the pc where server wmc is installed. i see "stream timeout unknown problem" on screen before it dies and this hopefully shows it in the log https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39548367/ServerWMC.log RE: WMC as the backend - released - krustyreturns - 2013-11-23 Hi Everyone, A new version of the server is up on the download page (1098). This version (at last) adds the ability to display a hierarchical recordings list, I also added a 'recordings' tab for setting new options for this display. Thanks to spinnaker for getting the info I needed to implement this and to hoopsdavis for testing. I also started a thread for this new feature if there are questions specific to it, please post any question on it there. --kr RE: WMC as the backend - released - krustyreturns - 2013-11-23 (2013-11-23, 18:18)spaceboy Wrote: hello, so i think have worked out where my problems lie. it was suggested that the problems i was having with playback of wtv files on the pi was due to size. further testing confirms thats probably the case although i've had some as small as 3.1Gb that will not plays and some as large as 6.1Gb that do play so quite a bit of crossover. not sure what else i can look at here? Hi spaceboy, Sorry about that, the ability to remux-to-ts pre-recorded files was originally just supposed to be a debug tool. Whether its ready for prime time looks to be questionable, so we should try and sort it out. See if you still have this file: Pointless_BBC One HD_2013_11_15_17_12_00.wtv If you have already deleted it, it might still be stored in 'tempxbmc'\savedfordebug so check there too. If you have it, place it here: https://drive.google.com/?authuser=0#folders/0ByNnAMYBoWvfQVBBNzFhZmNPWUE and let me know when its there. I am running 11/18 rasmbc nightly with newclock3 mods with the 0.2.91 addon. I assume you only have this problem on the pi and not on the windows client, right? I have heard that there is a bug with the pi playing large wtv files. As an experiment to test if that's whats going on: in the 'debug' tab turn on 'remux the playback of all wtv files' and see if playback works. Lets just hope those get fixed now. I really think this is a legit PVR solution now. There should be no reason to accept our own sub forum. I would like to see conflict resolution on live tv. We have one ![]() RE: WMC as the backend - released - Dilligaf - 2013-11-23 With timeshifting and everything else working wmc.pvr is more complete than some of the official pvr addons and is more than suitable as a daily driver, I feel it's ready to be submitted for official inclusion but it's not my decision EDIT: Definitely should be included before it's too late to get into Gotham. Thanks Tech Life for the early Christmas present! ![]() And that is two today with the upgrade from Krusty, we certainly are luck! I just want to clean up my code a little before I do a pull request. Its my goal to submit it this week now that I have the listing thing done. BTW, does the pi show the recordings screen faster with the hierarchical listing? (Yes that right, I still have not set up my pi. I was about to but then my xbox one got delivered...) RE: WMC as the backend - released - Dilligaf - 2013-11-23 It loads in about 3-4 seconds for me but wasn't that what I had before? Glad to hear you're submitting soon, it's definitely better than some of the other official pvr addons, I've tried pretty much all of them at one time or another ![]() RE: WMC as the backend - released - krustyreturns - 2013-11-23 (2013-11-23, 23:44)Dilligaf Wrote: It loads in about 3-4 seconds for me but wasn't that what I had before? That's disappointing, I don't understand the recordings time lag on pi's but I was hoping this would help anyway.
