Doesn't work on WS2012, any plans to add it?

does EMM work with windows 8 pro?, it doesn't seem to be working

update: ran windows 8 compatibility tester on EMM and it suggested XP compatibility mode, it now runs fine in windows 8 pro. Big Grin

Argh.. since I am running Raspbmc with latest XBMC nightly builds, which have the HTTP API removed it seems, the notifications in EMM to XBMC do not work anymore.

Anyone know of any solutions?

AKAIK, Ember is undergoing a rewrite so there probably won't be any small bugfixes until the new version is released. We'll just have to be patient I'm afraid (I really want the trailer scraping back).

I've been googling around and trying to find this answer before I post, but have had no luck so far..

I noticed that a lot of the movie posters in my xbmc library were showing the wrong poster (other languages). I had already scraped the entire library with EMM, and verified that the artwork was proper. I refreshed my whole library on xbmc (version 12 nightly), I removed and re-added it all.. And still I had the wrong posters. When I looked at EMM's nfo file, I found that it refers to a poster on the internet somewhere, and that is the one in a foreign language.

This affects 30-40+ of my movies, so I was wondering if there's a way to use EMM to re-write the nfo files and link to the locally stored posters instead of some on the web?

Any help would be appreciated.

Has nothing to do with Ember.
XBMC saves the Artwork in the database even if you delete the movie.

Thanks for the reply TeKo! So how do I go about clearing the database so that I can use my updated artwork?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - TeKo - 2012-10-31

I dont really know a good way.
I read that you can set source to NONE and then back to MOVIE for it to refresh but that didnt really work for me.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - jbeige - 2012-10-31

I tried the same thing yesterday, with no luck.

Hi Mac Users! Crossover is free today -> http://www.codeweavers.com/

I haven't been able to get EMM to run on it, but it should be possible in theory. If anyone else gets it running, let me know!

Currently I'm not getting Ember source from tv-shows and only works for movies. is everyone getting the same or do i need to modify something in order for it to work with tv-shows also?

Thanks

I am experiencing exactly the same problem. I can select my "E:\Movies" directory in the "Ember Source" setting on left but my F:\TV directory isn't on list. On right side under "XBMC Source I can select both paths no problem. puzzled

The XBMC Controller only works with movies. Not sure why, but it was never set up to work with TV shows unfortunately.

easy pizy
just use this http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=96097 its a xbmc thumbnail clean up utility.
just edit the config xml file to tell it if you use mysql or internal xbmc database.
the location of the folders and let it run (after you remove the moves from xbmc)

@RockDawg

Thank-you for clarifying that, I can stop searching for a solution that isn't there Wink

Shame though, my TV list changes much more often, it would benefit from something like this.
