Hi all,

Just thought i'd share my skin i've been working on. It's a fork of the Blue skin. Still needs a bit of polishing but i'm pretty impressed seems it's my first attempt at re-skinning anything.

repository.primaeval 0.0.2

I've updated the repo to handle different versions of addons for different Kodi versions.

TV Guide Fullscreen now has 2 version numbers.
Jarvis - 0.0.320
Krypton+ - 0.17.320

If the new repo is working correctly you should only see version 0.0.320 on Jarvis.
If you are on Krypton or Leia choose 0.17.320 if you get the choice.

I'm hoping this will be a seemless update but be patient and do some refreshes if the repo seems empty.
It takes a while for Kodi to read the Github folder structure.

I just tried it out and it looks great.

What colours did you choose in Settings \ Background so people can match yours?

Something's definitely not working on 0.0.320 in Jarvis for me.

All three of my machines are now getting an "oops sorry about that..." and the parsing xmltv in the top right corner never goes away. I've tried different xmltv sources with same results. (local file and URL)

Only way to stop the parsing routine is go into settings and reset database. Going to try a reset everything next.

These worked in 0.0.318 yesterday and the day before.

Here is a capture of log.

I can't see anything in the code that could have done that since 0.0.318.
Here are the changes from 0.0.318 to 0.0.320.

Uninstalled, updated repo, re-installed and seems to be back. At least now it's parsing the XML.

You were right. Thanks for the log. It was something left over from the Leia fix. It affected channel logo processing.
Try 0.0.321.

Here is a challenge for your mad Photoshop skills.
Could you make a skin that can change colour with the Settings \ Background colours?
Here is a post about how to do it with the Default skin.
http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=282157&pid=2474730#pid2474730
and one with a nice fuchsia hue.

It might need a bit of support code in gui.py for some of the newer controls.

[EDIT] You need to turn Settings \ Background \ Background Image Source to None to enable Background EPG Colours.

Ok thanks, that seems to have worked 0.0.321

I'll check it out a bit later when I get home. I forgot about the custom colours. Oops!

Thanks. I'll have a think about how to wrap your skin and others up into addons to make them easy to install.

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2017-03-24

version 0.0.322
- Settings \ Appearance \ Skin Type = Ours/Yours/Folder
- Settings \ Appearance \ Skin Folder (above resources/skins)

@kjb85 Here is a way to wrap your and other's skins in an addon.
There is a new option in Skin Type called Folder.
If you select Folder you can specify the Skin Folder and Skin Name for your custom skin.
Skin Folder needs to contain your skin folder under resources/skins.
You need to manually type in the name of your Skin.

I've added your skin into a test addon in my repo called "TV Guide Fullscreen - kjb85 Skin" as an example.
If you install that from my repo you can set the Skin Folder to:
addons/script.tvguide.fullscreen.skin.kjb85.test
and the Skin Name to:
Skin

It's not the most friendly way to add Skins but it's probably better than messing around with the File Manager.
TV Guide Fullscreen is already a bit complicated so this shouldn't be a problem for those of you that have got this far.

There is probably a better way to structure the skin addon. Let me know if you find it.

Looks good, would it be worth moving all skins to the same directory as the default skin? That way it is as simple as changing the skin in the settings rather than having the yours/ours selection? You should only have to change the folder structure in the zip file for this to work.

I'm not sure how this would work with updates though and whether it would erase the skins every time.

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - Qwijibo - 2017-03-25

Failing that you could relocate all skins to the user data folder and create a script to enable the guide to download the default skin on first launch? Probably starts getting a bit complicated that way though?
