can you create an option to disable fanart on movies i would like to have fanart for tv shows but not for movies and if i use the Hide Background Art option currently it turns off fanart for all views

You need to test it out in the skin, so that you're sure it is what you're thinking about. But yep it's a .strm file could be added if you know how.

I know what you mean, but think if I changed it more people would complain about video addons being allowed into music set etc. I'll look at the code and "maybe" add on another 2 miscellaneous sets where anything can be added.
If you want to it's quite easy to "hack" the system to fool the mod by editing your "guisettings.xml" 1./ Exit XBMC 2./ Backup the file & no complaining if it all goes wrong
3./ For video addon set look for the phrase "skin.confluence.custom.mod.HomeVideosButton" you should find 5 of them numbered 1 to 5 and the plugin they contain, which is what you'll want to change. Music addons are "skin.confluence.custom.mod.HomeMusicButton" , pictures = "skin.confluence.custom.mod.HomePictureButton" and progs = "skin.confluence.custom.mod.HomeProgramButton" So by changing any one of the Buttons to eg: "plugin.video.youtube" you will add YouTube to that button. Let me think about it as ATM code is simple to show or hide FanArt. Having to worry if it's Movies,TVShow,Music,Addons ..... etc is going to make it a lot more difficult

Yes Mudislander, all I needed was the url and create a home button with the following control:

It doesn't have the convenience of the options in your mod but I can always edit my home menu if necessary.
I do wonder if there is a resource of other url's that might be useable and interesting that stream

Thanks for the reply Mudislander. That would be great if you could add a couple of MISC sets where we could add any type of Addon shortcuts. I'm setting this up for my in-laws so trying to make it as simple as possible without having them to navigate through various screens. I find the Addon short-cuts a very useful feature in this regard. If your are unable to do this, I will try the method you mentioned.

Actually been thinking about this & considering this is supposed to be a "Customizable" MOD - Think that I'll change the names of the addon sets & not call them "Video Addons", "Music Addons" etc, but rather just plain simple "Addon Set 1", "Addon Set 2" etc and be able to link to any addon so it would be upto the user to group their addons how they see fit.

is there support for recent added but only based on your smartplaylist ...a bit like nox? I know you can put recent added for Tvshows but if i have Anime in a playlist (which is also part of Tvshows) i will get it in my recent added.

That's a script called script.randomandlastitems ATM I haven't included support for it as I've used it before in confluence.lite.mod & again in Hybrid, and after the script included support for Frodo there were a few issues which I haven't checked to see if they've been resolved yet.

Would it be ok to use this on the latest nightlies...?
Also, sorry if I'm not using the right phrases here, but I did create a playlist and then added that to the main scrolling banner and called it "3D Movies" this then will list all my movies which have 3dbd in the title. So far so good.
However we do like the std "Movies" vies, especially when looking at the recently added. As we tend to use the list type views (with movie info) it is not too important for us to see the case but it would be nice to be able to differentiate in that list between 3D and other movie types like SD and HD etc. So would it be possible for it to list 3D as well as those in HD...? I know that it does not list HD but instead it will show 1080p and 720p next to the rating of the movie. It also shows 480p I would prefer "HD" "SD" and "3D" and is it reasonably simple to achieve that - if so please note that I'm as dumb as a bag of spanners when it comes to changing things

Re the Nightlies, ATM I'm not using the "Nightlies" as family was getting upset at the bumps in the road into Eden & Frodo
So haven't tested but if the nightlies are working properly XBMC should kick out a dependency error once the skinning engine has changed too much. Things like the paths to Movies Database are being changed & I haven't checked to see if they're backwards compatible.In short this mod is done for stable Frodo.
Re 3D movies - XBMC doesn't natively report if a movie is 3D so it's difficult to easily show 3D flags all over the place. How ever if you've allowed the option for "Flagging read from video filenames" a 3D flag should show up if your media filename has "3d" or".SBS." in it

Sadly Confluence does not seem to support a 3D flag so I have gone back to a custom skin which caters for this.

Mudislander when ou are done updating the skin so that it is just generic label names (ie. Addon1, Addon 2 etc), will I have to download the ZIP file (on page 1) again or will the modded skin automatically get updated in XBMC that I already have installed.

I had not disabled the feature to allow "Flagging read from video filenames" and yet even though all of my 3d movies have the 3dbd within the file name they are not picked up at all.
Not sure if there is anything else that needs to be done..?
