RE: Arctic Horizon - jurialmunkey - 2020-03-07 Here's a video preview of the transitions between widget pages and showcasing the ability to scroll (almost) seamlessly between different categories of widgets. Movement in the video is not quite as smooth as it is normally because I was recording the screen. In action it feels really smooth. RE: Arctic Horizon - Rijs43 - 2020-03-07 Cant wait to install the beta!! I like my videos to be organised with stylish and convenient skins like yours. So if you do agree i do like to help with what i can.I'm always happy to receive pull requests on github! Well but Horizon is not yet on Github. So no chance for pull request. RE: Arctic Horizon - piscdi - 2020-03-07 Hi jurialmunkey, That video looks amazing; really beautiful work, as always. Thank you for sharing it. Although I don't use your skins (I use more PVR focused skins), I really appreciate your talents. To your continued success, sir. Arctic Horizon - jimkaf - 2020-03-07 Great work, Looks clean and professional. And yes, please, continue on your original vision of the skin and leave requests for future mods. No matter how many features and customizations, skins end up being switched out if they lack consistency and usability, they are user interfaces after all. I wasn't expecting that type of behavior, but do think it's really neat! It seems a little strange for submenus to be at the bottom of a page... Do you intend on having settings for that? EDIT: Also, I see ay least two different views I don't think we've seen in your skins before? There's a "spotlight" view with single "Small Landscape" widget (the "Videos" page), and the "Lovefilm"-styled layout (the "Search" page). Are those usable for any widget/page? RE: Arctic Horizon - D-m-x - 2020-03-07 This looks really great. Looking forward to trying something new for a change, although I also love artic zephyr. Will Horizon also support horizontal scrolling on the Homescreen? You can put it anywhere or not at all. The widget on videos is what happens if you only select one widget. You can use any aspect. The love film style widget is the global fall back if you select no widget. I'm playing around with showing it on idle as a type of showcase screensaver. RE: Arctic Horizon - Japangelo - 2020-03-08 More videos more videos more videos 😁😁 RE: Arctic Horizon - drinfernoo - 2020-03-08 (2020-03-07, 23:13)jurialmunkey Wrote:(2020-03-07, 19:44)drinfernoo Wrote:(2020-03-07, 10:00)jurialmunkey Wrote: Here's a video preview of the transitions between widget pages and showcasing the ability to scroll (almost) seamlessly between different categories of widgets. If you're interested, I have made a generic screensaver add-on just for this purpose! I actually whipped it up for someone to use on a different skin, but you can set paths (using Skin Shortcuts) to tell it which content to display, and feed it any window XML you like We could simply add it to your repo, and make it an optional dependency EDIT: I forgot to say, submenu in any position sounds great! I've definitely noticed that it changes more frequently than you'd expect, and I'm sure it's frustrating to keep making adjustments because of it. Nevertheless, autoplaying the next episode is a core function for a media library / player, and I'm sure it'd be an appreciated inclusion. Likewise, an integrated equivalent of Embuary Helper's 'Continue Watching' widget made to your specifications and with your expertise would be an improvement to the current Kodi experience.(2020-03-04, 04:55)drinfernoo Wrote:(2020-03-04, 03:34)Ricks Wrote: One feature that I'd like to see and I'm not sure if it's possible as it seems to be baked into Kodi is when finishing playback of an item from a homescreen widget, it doesn't jump to the next category upon completion. Also, just noticed Kate Bush in your music section, great taste RE: Arctic Horizon - jurialmunkey - 2020-03-08 (2020-03-08, 03:49)drinfernoo Wrote:(2020-03-07, 23:13)jurialmunkey Wrote:(2020-03-07, 19:44)drinfernoo Wrote: Ohh, that's very interesting! I'm not that keen on maintaining my own version, particularly when the one that's available does work quite well at what it does. As frustrating as it is, it is definitely less work to reskin the dialogs on occasion. What does the Continue Watching widget do? I couldn't see any mention of it in the Embuary Helper wiki. Is it just In-Progress? Love Kate Bush. Hounds of Love is probably one of my top five all time favourite albums. |
