Using Kodi 18.1, like my previous post had said, that upgrading Kodi to a new version that breaks the things that brought me to using Kodi in the first place. To my knowledge 18.1 is the last version that works fine for frame packed MVC MKV 3D as well as CV, sometimes. My non-3D set-ups I've tried up to Kodi 18.8 but I'll admit I've not tried a CV sequence with them for awhile. Part of that reason is the inability to choose which sequence you'd like to run or at least have a couple built-in options. I'd like to run CV with maybe a trailer or 2 and then the audio format bumper often but the full long sequence only once in awhile.

...this is doable, You can safe different Sequences like long, medium and short and let a pop up window appear at CV Start. In this you can select the desired Sequence and run it.

The other option is to make CV select the Sequence based on predefined contitions (like Genre, Studio etc). But then you cannot select anymore after CV Start....

I have used CV to run on certain conditions but I have no idea how you set it up to be able to select which sequence you want. Where are the settings for that?

how long we got before a new version of this add-on comes out? Somebody could just come and create a whole new add-on like they did with Cinema Experience before Smile

If you have the skills to "just come and create a new addon" then feel free to do so. I will be happy to aplause you for that Wink

RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Reelyator - 2021-04-21

Some update from the Cinemavision Forum: One of the Developers reported last Friday: "We have completely translated CV to Python3 including some dependencies that we couldn't find updated anywhere. That took longer than expected. At this point, it's still not working because of changes to other scripts CV uses. We are trying the updated versions and have to change the code to work nicely with these."

I am still positive that CV will make its way into the Matrix....

Honestly I wish I could lol. I have hardware computer knowledge but I've never dived into programing or coding. I looked at the add-on coding but it's all over my head.

..sorry but i cannot check myself as CV is currently not running on Matrix. ...look for a checkbox named something like "use Splash-Screen" in the CV settings.
Maybe you need to switch to "Expert" Mode in Kodi to see all possible options

It is slow going, but we are making progress in getting CinemaVision updated for Matrix.

Hi Savant!

Who is "We"? Do you have any connections to the creators of the CV add-On? Any Insight is highly welcome!

Hi Matt!
Glad to hear that CV is still alive and kicking! Just let me know when you are so far to start beta testing!

We have started private beta testing for users on cinemavision.tv.  There are a couple of issues that we are aware of and there have been a few people have had issues with their installs that we were able to help resolve.  Other than that it looks like we finally have things working again.

I'll post here again when we open up beta testing to a wider audience.
