RE: YouTube - GT_Racer - 2023-01-20 Post your logs in this thread. Seems like people are trying to figure out what is the problem. https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=371346&pid=3133855#pid3133855 RE: YouTube - wodkab - 2023-01-21 (2022-10-13, 16:44)pen2paper Wrote: Now also getting the "Video Not Available", "The following content is not available on this app. Watch this content on the latest version of YouTube" for every video. Subscriptions appear fine. Running Matrix 19.4.0 on OpenElec 10.0.2 on a Pi 4. Any fixes for this, please? I also run in this issue yesterday ... what fixed it for me: First I added new API-Key and new a new OAuth 2.0-Client-ID ... that doesn't fixed the problem. Then I called Addon => Maintenance => 'Reset Access Manager' ... finally solved the problem. Don't know if both steps are needed, or maybe the resetting would be sufficient!?!? RE: YouTube - samsonluk - 2023-01-21 Enter Subscription -> any subscribed channel -> move down 3 to 4 video topic, or under MySubscription -> move down 10+ video topic and Kodi will crash. YouTube plugin 6.8.24+matrix.1 Kodi 20.0 Android TV OS Version 12 (Chromecast with Google TV) RE: YouTube - offroad700 - 2023-01-21 “The following content is not available on this app” - pops up for every video last 4 or 5 days. Kodi 19.5 mac osx. New google keys created. Access manager reset. No luck. Also tried with VPN (in case of google blocked something for Russia) - nothing changed. Any ideas? RE: YouTube - David7578 - 2023-01-21 The kanji font problem seems solved with latest kodi version, Kodi 20 (not the rc) RE: YouTube - GT_Racer - 2023-01-21 I was never using the rc, Went straight from 19.5 to 20 and thats when the font issues came up and it's still there for me. Ended up having to go back to 19.5 as the only fix i found with Kodi 20 was using a font that didn't display kanji. On Kodi 20 the default skin with the default font causes no problems in terms of crashing but kanji and other asian text don't display. You enable the arial based font to get kanji etc... And then you get the crashes when certain characters are in a video title. I even tried a totally clean Kodi install on a PC with a clean install of Windows 10 abd it was still crashing so it's clearly an issue with Kodi 20. I saw they said they had switched something in terms of how fonts are displayed or something for Kodi 20 so I'd guess it's down to that since it isn't a problem on prior versions. RE: YouTube - GT_Racer - 2023-01-21 To add. For me it wasn't/isn't kanji that causes the crashes. It's when you have video titles that has emoji or some other odd formatting. RE: YouTube - Steph09 - 2023-01-21 Same for me. I was never getting the crashes from Kanji, It was when there was filenames/video titles that had emoji's. This video title for example. "❤️ 𝑹𝒚𝒖𝒖𝒋𝒊𝒏 💜 on Twitter Miku Kobato I'm a pigeon, you know, do you no Po 🕊️#BANDMAID #bandmaidokyuji". https://youtu.be/n15z5sRskxE I did some tests and figured out that it's something to do with the mix of text, Emoji & that weirdly formatted '𝑹𝒚𝒖𝒖𝒋𝒊𝒏'. If you remove the emoji's it will still crash, If you remove the '𝑹𝒚𝒖𝒖𝒋𝒊𝒏' & keep the emojis it will crash. But if you remove the emoji & the '𝑹𝒚𝒖𝒖𝒋𝒊𝒏' it will fine when it's just the normal text characters and it will also be fine if you remove all the text & keep just the Emoji & '𝑹𝒚𝒖𝒖𝒋𝒊𝒏'. It's again not a problem when using the default font in Estuary, It's only an issue when usin a unicode font that can display Kanji etc... RE: YouTube - Yappa - 2023-01-23 Same issues here on v20 with a couple of kanji filenames. Crashes as soon as I start browsing the directory. Don't think I have any emojis in any of my files, but might be wrong... RE: YouTube - atharmian - 2023-01-23 I am on AE-PCx86-11.1.0 (Nexus Stable) from Alexelec.tv, a fork of CoreElec. Kept getting youtube widget crashes in the Arctic Zephyr2-Reloaded Nexus skin, and was informed that the problem is with <resuselanguageinvoker>true<reuselanguageinvoker/> in plugin.video.youtube addon.xml. It should be turned to false from true. So I did and most youtube widget crashes went away. However over the last day, several widget crashes started happening again- I have had the latest youtube addon version from Kodi Repo since AE-11.1.0. Changing the menus away from "Live" menus in Youtube seemed to have fixed the problem for now. Any comments and solutions will be appreciated. ![]() RE: YouTube - kingsombra - 2023-01-23 (2023-01-23, 07:02)boingman Wrote: Same issues here on v20 with a couple of kanji filenames. It looks like someone issued a ticket. https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/22518 But was rejected for not using a "template". Oddly enough the "HOW-TO:Submit a bug report" WIKI https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Submit_a_bug_report makes absolutely no mention of a "template". RE: YouTube - mark112887 - 2023-01-24 I've discovered an issue where saved playlists is always present in the menu, and there is no option to disable it in settings/folders. However, if I manually go into the settings file I'm able to find the option set it to false, then it will disappear. I also discovered this issue is present with the purchases option as well. Purchases does not show up in the menu, however there is an option to toggle it within the settings file itself and not within the add-on. I've already looked in the bug list and the only thing I could see is something from November 2020. I do not have a github account so I am unable to report a bug, however if someone would like to, I'm currently using the latest version of Kodi 20.0, and I don't recall having this issue on 19.5. Everything else seems to be working fine RE: YouTube - izprtxqkft - 2023-01-24 is there a newer setup guide for this? i followed one that took me through all the api key setup stuff but it never worked and i never really bothered beyond that RE: YouTube - mark112887 - 2023-01-24 I don't know. I'm quite used to going in and editing the settings xml inside userdata addon_data plugin.video.youtube and manually setting flags if I have to. I had no idea there was even a config page for putting in the api key RE: YouTube - izprtxqkft - 2023-01-24 @mark112887 thanks for the response, im over it, its going back in the rubbish bin for future reference i was looking for an official version of this https://www.firesticktricks.com/create-youtube-api-key.html but https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/blob/master/README.md doesnt even mention a how to neither does this https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:YouTube or this https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/wiki this might but im not digging through 110 pages https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=356934 its one of those things i guess, youre either "in the know" or youre f'd |
