I'm guessing there's no way to copy and paste the ESN? It's like 5 miles long. Also, does the ESN I need to copy, start right after ESN: , or do I just copy the numbers, and not all the words following ESN: ?

Copy everything after ESN:. If you have a harmony hub you can use the keyboard input from there. I wrote down the whole thing in a notepad app on my phone, then I copy and pasted about 15 characters at a time because copying the whole thing causes chaos.
Okay, I manually added the ESN, and now I'm getting 1080p. The only way I can get 4k, is to set the stream selection to manual, then choose 4k when the video starts. If it's set to auto, it only does 1080p on a 4k video.

Yes, insert manually Netflix ESN, then change to manual stream selection on inputstream addon...then u should be able to select 1080p and 4k streams

I chose auto and it chooses the best stream for me. Also you may have to restart Kodi as it didn't take until after I restarted.
When set to Auto, are you getting 4k?

Are you using a Shield TV? Where is that info panel from in your pic, Kodi? The one that says HDR UHD.

Yes, I'm using a Shield. The one that says HDR is my TV, the one below shows the stream chosen in Kodi.

I got it now. I had to enable "ignore display resolution", so now I'm getting 4k when set to Auto.

BUT, for some reason, I can't watch any TV episodes - I get the busy spinner and it never goes away.

Any ideas/updates I should know about?
impossible to say without  a LOG FILE!

My bad, I was half asleep - my log file is here: https://paste.kodi.tv/gahuqinewu

I just tried it again so it should be the latest entry in the logfile.
Looks like an inputsteam Add-on widevine error, I would suggest waiting for the next Kodi nightly and upgrading.

You also have broken Add-ons on your system. Small hint but when you look a the log just do a search for "ERROR" and you will find all the issues.

Do you have that setting enabled too?

Most likely, your box doesn't support Widevine L1 (I'd be surprised if it does) so there is nothing you can do.

I thought if it was a widevine issue that would affect me being able to play movies on netflix, and also from amazon - I can watch any of my amazon content and movies and comedy specials are working on netflix. The issue is only that episodic shows on netflix don't seem to work.

What is interesting is that it was working just fine after I got the shield update, I went away for the weekend, came back, and Kodi had updated, and now this behavior....

I'll keep waiting for the next update to see if it corrects anything.

Doesn’t work on my Shield... I’ve been through all settings and the best I get is 432. As soon as I change to anything higher (in manual selection mode) I only get black screen. Controls work, video is obviously playing, but... any ideas?

Thanks!

Did you install Kodi 19?
