Thanks for trying @stammie and @Jbev01 . Turns out I made a beginner's mistake. I forgot to set those folders as playable items.
Beta 2 on GitHub fixes this problem. I still can't play any stream, but this might be the slow internet connection I have at the moment. Will take another look tonight when I am back home.

@CaptainT I also installed 1st Beta and thought that UHD folders were not playing/doing anything with 1st beta. I have installed beta 2 and now have addtional information relating to attempted playback of UHD Test 1 in kodi debug log.
(Expected result as no live matches ATM on bbc) Will wait for next planned match on BBC to see I am able to catch any play any of UHD streams.
Note: I am using Win10 with a Nightly version of Leia installed, With Laptop connected to 4k monitor with Kodi display resloution set at 3840x2160@60Hz
(not sure what other environmental settings I need to check)

Thanks for the log. They either switched the stream off while there is not match on, or you are not in the UK.
Other than that, it looks like all is set now.

single bbc hd work
with what time of anticipation begins to transmit signal 4k bbc
or I have to have kodi configured as 4k and have 4k tv connected to pc so that it recognizes the 4k trasmicion

Should be the same time as the regular broadcast. At least on my TV it is.

Well, without a 4K display, Kodi won't display 4K, but it should still play the stream.
This might be down to such things as Kodi or inputstream.adaptive version. I really don't know, because it never played for me. I would recommend to go with the latest developments builds available like @MikeKL. His log looks fine except for the actual stream giving an error.
By the way: You will need a very fast connection, the stream comes in at more than 30 Mbps.

I do not know if the url is the correct one since when I enter uhd 1 it does not show any other folder with the game,
just try to open the kodi player without showing anything

Ok, installed the 2nd beta and made sure DASH was enabled.
I have a stream, with UHD in the corner but am only getting 1080p. BUT if you go into options, in kodis video player, you can chose 1440p and 2160p stream. Unfortunately as soon as I enable either of those resolutions it crashes kodi.
Here’s a log for you. I think I’ve got the inputstream thingy setup wrong.
I am in the UK and have enough speed for the stream.

But nothing on Kodi on my Shield.
