Hi,
I wonder if somebody else came across this strange behavior :
Some YT-videos play the first two seconds then the screen turns black for about three secs. After that the video continuous normally.
Any ideas?

What Hardware? OS?
Do you have change resolution enabled with a pause?

Do you have change resolution enabled with a pause?
When enabled and upon video playback Kodi will ascertain the resolution and framerate and adjust the display to match. By default this is disabled.
Framerates in a nutshell:
Film: 23.976 fps
Video TV broadcast: 25, 50, 29.97, 59.94
Other video: 30, 60 and even higher.

Hi everyone. I am just getting back into playing with Kodi. It's been at least 6 or 7 years. I am trying to setup the Youtube app but it keeps telling me I need my own API key and I am having a hard time figure out where to go from here. Can someone point me in the right direction.

The addon tells me to go to: https:UTADDON.page.link/kyes On this page there is a link to a video to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iFaY8IpTeI But that is a dead link with a message from YT saying it was taken down. So I am at a total loss. I now have an API key from google. I have attempted to get it to work in this add in for over an hour and nothing. I just keep getting the message that I need a key and when I go back into setting the key I just entered is gone. Someone please help.

I have noticed that if I log in to YT using my regular account, as I always did (using API keys as per instructions) the plugin will currently work 2 or 3 random days a week and give the "not available for your app" response the other days.
Why should a brand account solve the problem ? Does it have different properties with respect to regular accounts ?
Moreover, it seems to me that many other users do not have this issue, and I believe they are using any kind of YT account, why ydoes this problem affect only some users ?

Do you want a solution against "The following content is not available in this app" ? Just do it with additionally Brand channel and use your current regular Google Account and API keys as per instructions for this YT addon.
