It contains a fix especially for Shield that fixes 1080p and 4K playback.
I got the latest nightly build of kodi and of the netflix addon. It will do atmos and hdr no problem but nothing more than 720p.
I'm thinking I need to put in my esn. What do put in? Everything listed under esn including NFANDROID2-PRV-SHIELDANDROIDTV....ECT? OR JUST THE LONG STING OF NUMBERS AND LETERS.
Any other default settings that need to be clicked?
I updated to the nightly and I put entire ESN sequence starting from NFAN etc...... but now no shows starting, just spinning wheel. I have tried re-entering 5 times. What a pain in the $ss to type this. I am thinking it’s wrong if the show does not start.
Is there a way to copy and paste?
Got it working by pittingbin the esn. Just had to go over it a couple of times to make sure everything was inputted right. Pain in the ass.

If I turn stream selection to manual (and ignore display resolution to on) I get it working only for low resolutions (with options for higher resolutions are listed but when I selected anything higher then the worst I get a black screen)
Needless to say, frustrating experience trying to get this add-on to work

I couldn't get manual selection working myself - for me, it only works with it set to auto.
You're definitely running a recent nightly build of Kodi?

Not only 0.15.7, but all older versions that still work are also limited to 720p on Odroid N2.
Edit - my problem solved:
I found the solution and everything is for me back to normal.
Since I’m using internet over 4G/LTE I had my CAT6 router set to receive (download) on 1800+2100MHz frequencies. My provider also uses 800MHz frequency band, and in setting the router to use only that frequency everything is back to normal. It turns out that my provider decided yesterday to limit streams on frequencies 1800/2100MHz…

Interesting thing about this on Amlogic boxes. Your addon works with old and new widevine versions (libwidevinecdm.so.4.10.1303.0 and libwidevinecdm.so.4.10.1440.18)
Using old (4.10.1303.0) version plays 1080p high bitrate streams up to 25Mbit/s without problem, and using new (4.10.1440.18) version it begins to skip frames with bitrates higher that 7-8Mbit/s. Also NF addon is the only one, using inputstream.adaptive that I know of, that works with old and new widevine module versions.
All above tested on Amlogic boxes running CoreElec 9.2.0/Kodi 18.4, 1080p on S922X and 720p on S912/S905X
With latest Widevine version (libwidevinecdm.so.4.10.1503.4) all high bitrate streams work again without frame skipping on all my Amlogic boxes.

Sorry I don't use Android.., but if it's similar to Kodi on CoreElec, which I use, then:
Install from Kodi repo "script.module.inputstreamhelper-0.4.3.zip". With this addon you can see which widevine version you are using at present, and using this addon you can install latest widevine version...

Inputhelper may not tell you where your Widevine certificates exists or the version (it doesn't on my Shield FWIW). Android in general has Widevine baked into official system images and hidden from the public file system. Rooting and using unofficial custom ROMs tends to nuke those certificates.
What's your device?
Also, if your device uses Android Pie or above, you need to be on a nightly version of Leia to get Widevine and the Netflix add-on to work effectively.
