Yo Pat, sure we can add your stuff. Every .png in the media folder can be added to a theme. So let me know when it's done
About slowdowns, i can think it's related to a script running.

If you have one of them enabled try to disable. Other than that i really don't know what's causing you problems.
Another thing i've done is:
Switch to Confluence --> Settings --> Addons --> Press Left for Slideout Media Menu, disable Autoupdate and Notifications --> Switch back to CEV2

Big Noid solved this some way. Can't remember how.
Collections don't have to have 'mins' showing. Maybe also disable rating.

1. Tried the modifications in scrollbar, still the same nothing changes.
2. I'm trying to reproduce that, the not rated image returns whenever no MPAA Info is available ( same in aeon nox )
To get rid of mins, i have to delete the code with substring and label "mins", or is there another way ?

@butch Ahhh, it could be the auto update! It very well could be exactly that! I'll try and disable it as soon as I'm home.
The .png I posted "splashma.png" is finished and ready to go into the compressed textures in the media folder... Im currently using it snd it looks good in fanart view when a movie has no fanart.
It was resized to the exact dimensions of the previous "splashma.png" so should be a direct replacement for it for than theme.
Once I get the others done I'll pop em up and get em added too.

That's great, yea just pm the links over and I'll use them. I origonally created the steps into a recording in CS5 and then batch them, but as they are all so different with massive variations in colour etc they all came out looking too different and not consistent.
So I'm now (as I started again) going to do them differently, but it'll mean doing each one individually to ensure they "look" more uniform

Curious to see what you'll do with that.
I tried really A LOT of different textures, grainy, honeycomb, steel, grunge, wood, grid etc... problem is that the original skin takes a single file for several layouts. So something that looks pretty somewhere will be totally stretched in an ugly way elsewhere.
And I like corporate things as a pro designer, so if I decide to make a theme, it must be global.
So far the only decent solution I found was to use gradients because even stretched they look fine, which ultimately turned into the orange and silver themes.

By the way, I am a XBMC user since the first versions for the modded XBox Gen 1 (dammit, I realize mine is still ready for use under the TV but I didn't turn it on for years! I even don't remember which FIFA is installed on its hard disk, 2004? 2006? 2008?), then I switched to Plex as I am on Mac, then I switched back to XBMC because I was unhappy with some strategic decisions they made (and happy to have left the boat at the right time, Plex is becoming more and more titanic-esque).
Anyway I still follow Plex developpment by curiosity.
I just saw that Sebastian, a very talented skinner (too bad he didn't switched to XBMC too) re-designed the old Mediastream skin for Plex in a very classy way
If I mention this, it's just because I felt in love with his simple but classy way of indicating the watched/partially watched status of a movie (the circle, plain or half filled). Now, question is: on XBMC, is it possible to have the partially watched status? I guess yes as XBMC resumes the playing from where you left it, but on the other hand I don't remember a skin doing it.
I think such overlays with the circles would look cool on CE2

I'll tinker and see if I can get anything useful (gives me something to do) but I agree that the sliver looks great.
First of all I'm just going to re-do the images within the skin to give them all a stone effect (like the imdb/overlays and slapsh has received so far) as I feel it gives the skin and really nice look/feel. Once that's done I'll see if I can work anything out from those files, but I agree that gradients will look better so even if I chagne the gradient colour slightly to something a tad warmer.. I'll tinker around and see what we get, if nothing else it keep me busy

Looking at those new screens I starting to wonder if I should start gaming on my pc again just to have those screens available
they look great.I'm still without a db and not completed my install yet (gonna try disable auto update too) but as soon as I am I'm gonna do a full install and may even pop a few games into xbmc just for the he'll of it

I just tried the new Plex version, I still prefer XBMC with its customization, but I confess, the new 'on deck' view is cool! It's basically just a view showing the NEXT unwatched episodes of TV Shows that are recently played.
Would it be possible to do this with XBMC? probably an Add-on? I know it's not skin related but I'm using Cirrus and I would love to have this feature on my favorite skin
