RE: Arctic Horizon - FXB78 - 2020-08-29

Just an observation about the new Video OSD, I think it looks a bit cluttered with the ratings included & the icons moved to the bottom. Personally I preferred the old view with the icons to the right, and the ratings seem unneccessary, if I'm already watching something I don't really need to know the ratings. Would it be possible to have an option to disable the ratings on the OSD? And perhaps the icons would look better above the plot if you don't want them aligned to the right?

Yeah I think I agree. I was trying to standardise the layout of the info so that it was the same across the skin -- after using it for a bit though, it definitely feels like a bit too much going on for the OSD. I've hidden the ratings and moved the codecs back to the right side on latest version.

Loving the full screen widget / horizontal setup -

Got to agree with the others I think it would look better if the second widget row wasn’t visible until you scroll down and then becomes the top widget ?
I think this with the option to remove the header title (top left as previously mentioned) and the option to include the clear logo in center (like AZ2) and it would be absolutely perfect 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Top job as always

That's great, I just tried the latest version & it looks a lot cleaner now Smile One thing I noticed was the "Finishes at XX:XX" at the bottom of the screen, previously it was prefixed with the Title, not sure if that was a deliberate change or if it has been missed. It looks a bit bare now but that may just be that I'm not used to it.

Hiding Watched Items - ShaVerZ - 2020-08-29

I've a widget setup to show 'Random Movies' from the video library under playlists from the customise widget but it always displays titles I've watched.

I've managed to hide viewed items for all other widgets, I just can't seem to hide them on the widgets from the playlist widgets.

Any help appreciated.

You could setup a Smart Playlist which should work, like this:

So Jurialmunkey, what do you think? Wouldnt it make more sense and look nicer if TMDBH opened AH info instead of the TMDBH list info??  Can you make that an option in AW or TMDBH options?

Just open information. You keep hounding him when it's just one click away.

I don't even understand what the issue is, why choose browse if you want to see info, just press 'i' like you would in every other part of the skin Huh

I just dont understand why TMDBH would open that info screen, especially when AH is properly skinned for it already.

Because you have it set to do so. The options are "Browse" (which makes them open the "details" browser) or "Play/Open" (which makes them do what the default action inside Kodi is. If you want that default action to stay as "Play", then just open information in the item.

AH isn't skinning TMDbHelper, either. TMDbHelper is a distinct addon, which AH is displaying just as any other. The only "custom skinning" that would maybe be relevant are those in the "Discover" menus, but that's kind of a different story.

Ok, just thought it would be a nice feature, especially for TMDBH widgets on the home screen. To be a able to open the skinned TMDB details by default instead of just playing it.

I would consider opening an issue on GitHub, rather than asking every few days whether or not he thinks it's a good idea. If he thinks it's a good idea, he'll do it.
