Small bugs from the latest versions of the skin using only LOCAL INFORMATION.

1. You cannot see the full screen fanart from the movie / TV series synopsis on the information screen. (right arrow).
Request: Could you add this function also in music information and music videos?

2. By clicking on actor / actress, you only get information online.

Thank you very much for this great skin and for your constant work to make it better and better.

1. If you're scraping your library using "Local Information Only", then that stuff won't be available...

2. Except for people, who online info is always grabbed for, because it can generally be assumed that you don't actually have Keanu in your library like you "own" him Rofl

Yeah but for 1 there was a regression in the recent changes where pressing right from the plot overview stopped showing fanart from the local db if you had "use online information" turned off. Now it's fixed so you can see local art as well as online fanart in the gallery.

For 2 if you have online info turned off, the native Kodi behaviour for cast list is to pop-up a select dialog showing all the movies/episodes in the local db that the cast member stars in. The recent changes had a regression where that stopped working because all the lists now sit in a separate window to try to lower the number of simultaneously loading lists - the problem was that the only way to call that native select dialog is by clicking on the in-built cast list, so I had to find a way to send the click from one window to another and focus the correct item.

Ah, awesome! Just like it always happens, I just pushed 0.5.27, and you've already pushed another update Rofl

I knew about both these issues and had been meaning to fix them but I forgot about them because I generally have online info turned on - so this was a good reminder!

Both should be fixed now. Also fanart in music overview should work properly now - Can you test and confirm?

@jurialmunkey

In the new version of the skin, the problems have been fixed.
Thank you very much for attending to my requests. You are creating the best skin for our beloved Kodi.
!!Thank you very much

Greetings and take care.

Hi man loving the skin trying a new skin other than AuraMOD. I have a few questions and thoughts; first can you explain the difference between hub and fullscreen widget?

Also I think the clearlogos are a bit smaller than what they can be. I forgot the other things for now but thanks 4 making such a great skin. You said its minimalistic but its greater than and has much more than the majority of other skins out there

See comments here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=351756&pid=2973183#pid2973183

Basically:

Fullscreen widget is the path used for the widget that shows "fullscreen" fanart in the background of both showcase hub and home windows.

Hub widget is the path that is used as the widget underneath the submenu in the showcase/submenu hub windows. The hub widget path for the main menu item is used as a fallback for when there's no specific hub widget set for that submenu item. This main menu hub widget path is also used as a fallback for the fullscreen widget if no specific fullscreen widget is set. -- so for the main menu item it would make sense to call the "hub widget" the "fallback widget".

Skin is not designed for touch. If it works on a touch device that's a bonus but the skin is designed for a 10ft interface with a remote.

RE: Arctic Horizon - jdeacon - 2020-09-03

Hi, thanks for your work, Im testing this skin with my config, can I switch the menu dialogue to the bottom of the screen? I have changed to horizontal but the menu is on the top of the screen, Id like to place down to the screen.

Thanks.

RE: Arctic Horizon - drinfernoo - 2020-09-03

@jurialmunkey Am I right that there isn't currently a way to have a fullscreen widget with a non-info widget below? Leaving the second widget with info disabled still makes it show when you scroll down.

Also, is there no longer a way to have what would be the "hub widget" change when submenu focus changes, when using the fullscreen widget? Could that be possible if a submenu widget was the second after a fullscreen widget?

I'm not upset either way, just making sure I'm not missing anything.

(2020-08-30, 00:11)jdig4240 Wrote: I dont think your understanding. In TMDBH, it has the option already to either Open/Play, or Browse when you make a selection. When its set to Browse, it opens the un-skinned TMDBH "Details List". All I was asking is if was possible to have the option to open the skinned Info/Details list instead, thats all. Not trying to change any core Kodi functions.

What you see when "browse" is set is just a folder in the plugin with shortcuts to other folders in the plugin. That details page is never "skinned". Unlike extendedinfo, tmdbhelper doesn't use a separate scripted window for the info dialog. There is no "skinned" info dialog at all - TMDbHelper "info" is literally Kodi's same native info dialog that is used for library items.

Plugins should never override Kodi's default select action. You might think the plugin's play/browse switch already does that but it doesn't. It only changes the folder shortcut the item points to (it's like if you have a desktop shortcut that opens a folder of documents and you change it to point to a specific document instead).

Opening the native info dialog requires the Action(Info) command to be called - so for a plugin to force that IS changing core functionality because it requires overriding the user's keymap. Changing/overriding user keymap actions is generally forbidden for Kodi addons other than in very special cases (e.g. keymap editor).

Thank you for the explanation.
Why don't you try going to Settings - Media - Videos and in All, change defaiult select action to Show information. I think it should do what you wan't. The reason i don't is cause it shows info for episodes too when i want those to autoplay.

RE: Arctic Horizon - jdeacon - 2020-09-04

Hi, finally I'm using for vertical mode I think is the best choice for this skin. I'm using embycon for movies, tv and music. Anybody can show me its Music menu widgets or full screen menu to give me an idea of how looks better. Thanks.
