However, I just upgraded to Frodo and noticed that there is no banner view for TV shows. Am I missing something? All my artwork is downloaded in each individual show folder (ie poster.jpg & banner.jpg). But when I cycle through the views there is no 'Wide' view anymore that shows two rows of banners side by side. The closest view I could find is 'thumbnail' but that just mushes my banners up, and besides, I don't much care for posters.

Thanks for all your hard work and continued support of the best skin on xbmc.

most likely you need to disable this setting:
skin settings > tv shows - use posters

another option that would hide the banner view is:
skin settings > view options > disable - videos - wide icons

music button -> aritst: it's a feature, not a bug - cholero - 2013-01-30

First of all: what a great work ronie, you've left far behind all other skins. I've never switched back to an other skin since I now Transparency! (2009?)

But a new bug that turned out to be a feature made me sign up the xbmc forum to do this post:

(2012-11-28, 19:31)ronie Wrote: - changed music menu button to go directly to artists

Am I the only one who does not like this behavior? There's a option to choose which part of the database should be the starting point (artist, genre... whatever you like) that works with other skins. I have a huge music collection and like to get to the root of the music database when i select "music" in the main menu. I think in this case the more customizable the better should be the rule, don't you?

Anyway, I will not stop to use this skin daily an recommend it to everyone I know..

Thank you so much!

Moved my Eden boxes to Frodo last night, and rebuilt my database from scratch...

Transparency looks better than ever! Very first thing I did after installing Frodo was to download and switch. Thanks Ronnie Smile

ask 10 people how it should behave and you'll get 20 different answers :-)
adding settings to define the function of every button on the menu is overkill,
instead use the available submenu buttons.

in your case the music > library submenu button should take you to the root of the music library.

Thank you very much for reading my post.

And I think you are probably right :-)

But unfortunately there was a small misunderstanding:

I really did not want you to add a new feature. The thing with the standard entry point is a xbmc feature already included since ?ever? The entry point is defined in guisettings.xml for music: <mymusic><defaultlibview pathversion="1">RecentlyAddedAlbums</defaultlibview></mymusic>
your skin overrides this settings for the music library since v4.0.8 and jumps always to "artist" instead of what the user has chosen as standard (in my case, I used to leave it empty to get to the root of the database).

But sorry, I really don't want to steel your time, I just wanted to let you know that this "enhancement" is a restriction at least for me.

Thank you very much!

yup, you're entirely correct.
the defaultlibview is only used when you enter the musiclib for the first time after startup though.
on subsequent library entries, xbmc would override this value and take you to wherever you left off last time.

this was one of the reasons why the ability to set a defaultlibview was removed from the video library.
it was also deemed unneeded anymore as just about every skin offers you a set of submenu button
that should take you directly to wherever you want to go.
T! includes a full set of submenu options for every available musiclibrary node.

Thanks, for the clarification!
You're right, the movie library had this feature too earlier...

Well, if someone else wants to have the music starting point the old way: you change this behaviour by changing a simple line:

~/.xbmc/addons/skin.transparency/720p/Includes_Home.xml
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2745 <onclick>ActivateWindow(MusicLibrary,artists,return)</onclick>

to

2745 <onclick>ActivateWindow(MusicLibrary)</onclick>
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, I' really sorry for bothering you and keep up the amazing work!

I recently upgraded to frodo. My movies library, with every movie inside its own directory with exactly the same name, was scraped and fanart and album cover was shown for both.
Now, although you can see album cover and fanart for the movie file, you can't for the directory it lies in.
How am I supposed to fix that?

could you check if you have the same issue in Confluence or not?

RE: Transparency! v5.0.0 for XBMC Frodo 12.0 - argh! - 2013-02-03

Old "colortheme" grey works great. Nice.

I've jsut updated to Frodo, updated all plugins available, updated library. But the "New" TV Shwos And Movies info no longer displays in teh bottom-right of my homescreen. The options are checked in the Skin Settingsand the templates are there, but just showing the default "blank" picture of a question mark

I tried unchecking the option, then rechecking, with no luck.
