Yes. I don't see any reason to use 005 anymore.
Therefore i replaced the link with the final 006 build yesterday.
(Of course it's newer than the old 006-testxx. Dont stay on 006-testxx)

Maybe i should add 00x-"final" tag next time, so no one gets confused with using an old 00x-testxx build. Will do so for 007.
Check out the 2 helper functions i described in the changelog. I really like them. They easily help you to always reset to a clean good example rule when you need to.

Hi, the help sections are really useful. The great thing is it retained my media rules for external LAV, however for some reason it wiped my coreplayerfactory file, not sure if it was the install or a problem at my end, it was simple enough to recreate the player rule.

Hi guys, I think I'm blind.. But where is the button: Use DSplayer by default?? Or do I really need to create a rule for every kind of file.. I just want to use dsplayer for everything.. Now, Local movies play fine using dsplayer, but youtube videos not by example..

Hi, you create one rule, then add all the file types you want, read back to about page 8 for details, its easy.

What can happen at the conflict level if I go to edit as version xbmc.gui 5.12.0 to 5.14.0 for DSPLayer ? I ask this because I would like to install a skin that has version xbmc.gui 5.14.0 .
if I install it like this, the xbmc.gui 5.14.0 dependencies are missing.

I think all the possible care should be taken in not destroying working configurations of people that have probably been using DSPlayer for years. Then again, this is free, nobody is forcing anybody to use it, I know.

it may just be an issue with my build, my user data is years old now, i could really do with creating a brand new build to be honest but its a lot of work setting up all my folders and stuff. If it happens again with the next build i'll let everyone know, I dont think its worth any time looking at it right now if its only happened to one user.

Cool thats going on with dsPlayer..
BUT why not an actual 18.5 Version ? Im not shure all actual Addons will work with old Kodi 17... that would be a massive problem. Need newest TVHeadend Client and emby4kodi addon

its too much work to move form this version i'm afraid, you can still use stock KODI with and external player using MADVR.

Interesting question though . Skipping Kodi 18 is fine with me . How about plans to integrate it into Kodi 19 ?

Some users have expressed interest in doing it, in the past. Some have tried and have later abandoned the idea. aracnoz's code is open, anybody capable enough could try but it's no easy feat, unfortunately.
