How install the git version ?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - dkne - 2013-01-19

I've had this happen for well over a year, but I'm tired of the temp-solution I found, so I might as well ask for help.

As I scrape a new show all the episodes of that show disappear on EMM. No matter how many times I open/close/refresh the list of episodes won't come up.

What I currently do is move all of the episodes out of the folder, update library, move them back in, update library again. After that it just automatically downloads everything and recognizes all the episodes.
Also, if I scrape the episodes one by one before scraping the show, they won't disappear, but that's more trouble than my current method.

Am I the only one? Am I scraping shows the wrong way?

The Git version is not compiled. You need to install GitHub and Visual Studio and then compile it Smile

Can you make example and screenshots?
I do use EMM for all my shows and never happened something like that

mfsav2 - Are you able to scrape properly using the latest git master? I can't due to the plugin changes that were merged last september by fyfe.

Locally I've commented out a few lines of code and put the old calls back in place to get scraping working again, but I don't want to submit a pull request if I'm the only one seeing the issue.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - rodercot - 2013-01-20

Anyone else having issues with dvd media tags (when in the movies title ie title.dvd.mkv) showing up in frodo rc3 blu-ray and hddvd work just fine. Sort order do not seem to be working as well. As for nfo's in frodo - do we need to use
<movie>.nfo or movie.nfo? I am using rapier which was just recently was updated for frodo so some issue could be brewing from there.

Thanks,

Dave

I use the internal scrapers, not the XML one.
Which one are you using?

ALso there has been issues with IMDB and DanCoopers should have fixed it.

Will test my revision

I think we need to take the 2.0 branch currently at Ember to fix further. The master branch is being rebuilt at the time heavily.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - m.savazzi - 2013-01-20

Well let's decide which one to fix Smile and let's try to have it working for everyone.

1.3.0.7 appears to me to be quite unstable when developing.

It would be great to have a suggestion from Boderick as he own the GitHub...

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - GreenOnyx - 2013-01-20

I think it depends on what the long term goal is and agree that a suggestion from bodrick would be nice.

If the plugin route is the goal I think we stick with the master and I can submit a request that gets us around it's scraping issue.
If the plugin route isn't something we want to pursue anymore, maybe the 2.0 branch is where we should focus (I haven't looked at it much). If this is the case it seems that the plugin stuff should be the branch and master should really be the 2.0 branch.

The big question to me is we seem to have multiple people really interested in contributing to things, where can we get a master that we can all contribute to and get pull requests responded to in a timely fashion? It doesn't seem like bodrick has been very active and if the three of us can't get our changes merged at a central point it kind of defeats the purpose.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - huttdes - 2013-01-20

Two problems I'm having.

One which has been happening for a long time now.
It will not automatically download dvd cover art for me.
When I get to the selection page and click on the art I get a popup dialog box that says 'argument length must be greater or equal to zero'
So I've been download art manually and doing it that way.

My new problem now is that it is not finding ANY movies on IMDB unless I manually enter the number.
Files and folder all named properly.

Running version 1.2 revision 2422
