Hi all
I am running this Netflix Kodi Add-on with a Minix U9-H , Android 6 and Kodi 18.6.
I am pleased to report that with this addon I have manage the box to hardsware decode by in Netflix app choosen 4k HDR stream recieving a 1080p stream of 5.6 mbps in HDR with DD+ sound.
I have activated HEVC/4K/HDR profile and activated Force 2.2 streams and set minimum resolution to 1080p . I can hardly see any differense between streaming the same stream through the Minix with 1080p resolution and my
Panasonic OLED Netflix app with 2160p resolution and 7.3 mbps ( used to be 15.6 mbps before the Covid -19 outbreak )
For example " Our Planet "
The picture is super smooth - No lag or other disruptions. Netflix switch nicely to 24 frames per second.
Now the next step. Force my minix U9-h to recieve a 2160p stream.
To do that I set minimum resolution to 4kUHD.
But. Here is the sad thing.
The stream starts. But picture freezes directly with only the sound rolling in the background. I press O on my keyboard and the Minix reports 3840 x 2160 pixels HW decoded.
I guess it is something in the Netflix stream that causes the Minix U9-H to picture freeze. Not because low performance from the box itself. Because it is not approved hardware from Netflix.
Hopefully in the future you guys find out a trick to walk around this issue.

I was able to successfully install this on my living room NVIDIA SHIELD. Unfortunately, when I attempt to install on my HT SHIELD I keep getting a message indicating a failure to install INPUT STREAM HELPER add on and thus the NETFLIX install fails.

I'm made some tests today.
So, iIf i'm right, on netflix items not exported (browsed in Netflix add-on) : Trakt doesnt' work, either watched status or rating. I'm ok with this.
But, with exported to library Netflix items i would like it works, but it seems that only the "watched status" sync is not working, but i can manually rate an movie or tv episode with the Trak Contextmenu add-on.
I have two addons :
Trakt
Trakt_-_Contextmenu
In the first i have a setting for automaticly ask my note when i finish to watch a movie or TV show :
With exported Netflix library items : the trakt popup isn't display automaticly
But, if i use the second add-on (Trakt Contextmenu) :
I can call the trakt menu manually and rate the movie or episode : a notification says "Rating sent". But if i try the "mark as seen" in the Trakt menu : i have a notification "error".
I have others similar add-ons (TV Time and Betaseries) for follow progress and both works with exported Netflix items to library.
I analysed the kodi log when i try to "Mark as watched" a netflix exported item with Trakt Contextmenu :
My guess is something on the Trakt side isn't working quite correctly, or there were changes in Kodi or Trakt's API that a sync isn't working correctly with the add-on on Kodi.

Definitely a stuttering issue with the 4k Fire Stick. I tried it on 2 different 4k sticks on 2 totally different setups, on both the latest Leia nightly and Fritsch’s shitty Fire build- same issue. I tried clearing the cache, increasing the buffer, even hooked up an Ethernet adapter, same issue. I know it’s not an input-stream issue, because other addons that use it on the stick (like the Amazon Prime one) don’t have the issue.
Could someone else with a 4k Fire Stick please confirm my findings? I’d really like to get it working because it’s the absolutely cheapest way to get both Atmos/Dolby Vision output on the same device right now.

I already have 2 2015/2017 Shields, didn’t really want to buy another, and you can’t find a 2019 Pro right now anyways.

I had a lot of problems with shows like 3% and 12 Monkeys, however I just tried again, and they seemed fine now.
Quite a few episodes get missed though in the scraping process, and you don't know until you get to the end of the show. NOW some things make sense....
