You overwrite in the wrong place, is in addon folder, no in addon_data, there Kodi saves skin settings only.

@latts9923, my tip for you continue the same, create a complete skin, with a new ID Name, all these users, when Marcos release next version, will lose the mod code, and errors will come, because skin settings are not the same.

Perfect! Now it works! Thank you so much!  Rofl

Now there is just one problem left. How can I get the animated posters running? I'v enabled all the flags in artwort beef and added "animatedposter" in the settings. I've also added advancedsettings.xml in my \\IP\Userdata with

<advancedsettings>
<videoextensions>
  <add>.gif</add>
</videoextensions>
</advancedsettings>

But still no animated Posters. Any ideas why?
I've asked the same question and someone else as well in a thread on this forum.  No answers by the way but hopefully someone will look at it and figure it out.

Are your animated artworks saved locally or on a network location, like a NAS. Animated artworks only work when saved locally.

Hi

The actual animatedgifs folder under metadatautils is on my local drive but it is empty.

RE: Aeon MQ 8 Multi-Mod - Jeffers24 - 2019-06-07

The mod has multiple folders/files 122MB.

I am on Windows 10

Do I really have to copy all the files from the Mod folder to the MQ8 addon folder one at a time?

Can it be used in Android??

You can copy the folders across or the files within the folder across to the appropriate folder which to me is more reliable.

Seems prone to human error copying all these files.

I'm with @Wanilton may be safer to create a modified renamed skin zip that can be installed from zip in Kodi, rather than everyone that wishes to use the mod to have to copy the files across every time a mod update is issued.

This is what my windows 10 Mod file structure looks like, lots of folders/files in the mod:-

I agree it is prone to error but I've found copying the files directly to the folder is much more reliable than copying the folder whole. If I understand you correctly you are saying that you can update a copy of the MQ8 zip with the mod then install it directly from the zip. Either approach will work.

I was supporting Wanilton's suggestion in this post:- https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=342529&pid=2839956#pid2839956

Would mean Latts adding his changes to latest AEON MQ8 skin, zipping it as say AEON MQ8 MOD zipped skin, that could be installed as a zip file in Kodi.

Ok so it is being suggested that Latts does it. OK but the point is that it is a mod, and he is doing us a favour giving up some of his time to do this. So I'm not sure asking him to do more work than he already does makes sense. But that is of course up to him. Thanks for the clarification.

@halidri
Thanks! The screenshots you posted might be better asked on the Aeon MQ 8 thread.

@melons2
Are you using v2.9.0 of the TextureTool?

@Wanilton
I understand your concern. I'm going to run a test to simulate an update to the skin. If it comes down to it, I'll look at branching off to a skin mod.

@toutoune290
I hope to add all the views at some point.

@inxs24
Do you have "Cinemagraph Arts - Poster" enabled in the Top Menu?

Hi Latts

Yes, cinemagraph art is enabled.
But where is the folder where the animated posters should be stored in? What path is correct for them? In artwork beef, I just have the standard settings. Do I have to set up a special path on my libreelec root?
