Working fine for me, thx for the fix Dan!

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Hecatonchieres - 2013-01-24

After a quick skimming of the 232 pages here I must first say thanks to Mr. Dan Cooper for keeping EMM alive and well.
Every question/issue I have come across in this last few trying weeks has been solved with just a little bit of reading ^_^

I do have two requests that assuming they are simple to implement, would make EMM even better!

1) Add the option to sort titles by actors in the missing items field (think I saw this up thread)
2) (I know this part is stretching it a bit) To scrap/update all of the actor images and place them in the appropriate .actor folder when doing a custom or auto scrap.

Thanks again for all your work Dan, you are appreciated more than you know!

Firstly, I want to offer thank to Dan Cooper for his work on EMM. I discovered this software about a year ago and it played a huge part in me sorting out the mess that was my media server, allowing fresh installations of XBMC without lengthy rebuilds of the library.

I recently upgraded to Openelec Frodo Beta, and it has, of course, decided to ignore much of the previous Ember-scraped details in the individual folders and uses Universal Scraper instead. So just to say Mr C, if you do manage to fix Ember so it provides Frodo-compatible structures for both Movies and TV shows, I will be eternally grateful.

In the meantime, keep up the great work...

If your movies are in separate folders then you already have frodo compatibility in ember, tv is also supported

Each movie in its own folder (named exactly as below)

movie.nfo
fanart.jpg
poster.jpg

TV Show

tvshow.nfo
fanart.jpg
poster.jpg
seasonXX-poster.jpg

Episodes

filename.nfo
filename-thumb.jpg

All the above are frodo compatible and supported in ember

Not sure if this has already been mentioned. I know I mentioned this bug over a year ago and it thought it got fixed at one point. Basically, when scraping a movie and using the built in renamer, it looks for the nfo file in the old directory and not the new one. This causes ember to crash. It should be looking in the new directory "Cloud Atlas (2012)" not "Cloud Atlas".

Code:
Title: Error
Message: Could not find a part of the path 'G:\downloads\Movies\Upload\Cloud Atlas\movie.nfo'.

Thank you however I can't find TVShow.nfo or filename.nfo to check usind fix 4.2

AW: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - DanCooper - 2013-01-25

Tvshow.nfo is always activated (no option in settings).

seasonXX-fanart.jpg and season-specials-fanart.jpg is ready for next release. I have small problems with the image scanner API, I hope I can solve that tomorrow.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Randall Lind - 2013-01-25

Dan that''s great I just switch over to Frodo now that they have a pre-stable release of PseudoTV that works pretty good.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - CaptainKen - 2013-01-25

Thank you Dan, actors scrape works again with fix 4.2!!

I use the Offline Media Manager (OMM) a lot. Is there a way to include actors in its' scrape? I've been using the OMM and then rescraping the movie to get the actors.

I think it's possible. I check this later.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - discmeister - 2013-01-25

That's encouraging; I'll give it a try over the weekend. I just can't understand why XBMC Frodo ignores the local information on my server and goes scraping via the Universal Scraper. I'll do a bit of a server clean-up over the weekend, make sure there are no extraneous files in the folders and give it another go.

How does the episode filenaming work? Does each episode of a TV show need to be in its own folder too?

One reason it would ignore your local information is if you forgot to select "movies are in separate folders" when you set content, I checked Frodo Release Candidate 3 and it is still backwards compatible with old image types and I don't think that's going to change with the final release.

As for TV Shows, each show must be in its own folder with the show name, season folders are optional, as for episode naming just using one of the following on its own would work, whether you include the show name or episode name or both is up to you, its the numbers that are important.

s01e01
s01.e01
s01_e01
[s01] [e01]
1x01
101

I personally have always used "S01E01"

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - gh56243 - 2013-01-25

I have a feature request:

On Scrape (Ask -require input) would it be possible to have an option to skip over movies that require input and mark them for later? This would let the app go ahead and scrape info for the obvious ones?

i Second that!

It would be the biggest help and time saver ever!
