RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - spon - 2013-01-27

Is anyone else having issues with the TV module? It's scraping fine, but it's not importing all of my files. I have several shows where all episodes were already imported into Ember, but when I rescraped the show, it will no longer recognize several of the episodes and/or seasons. The naming convention is the same for all episodes/files (Showname - SXXEXX - EpisodeTitle). I've tried to remove the show from the database and re-import, removed the nfo files and reimport, and completely remove all TV sources, re-add the sources and re-import, but none of them have worked.

Any ideas? Thanks!!

On Scrape (Ask -require input) would it be possible to have an option to skip over movies that require input and mark them for later? This would let the app go ahead and scrape info for the obvious ones?

i Second that!

It would be the biggest help and time saver ever!

I'll 3rd that request!

thanks

Try deleting the actors folder for the movie and then scraping again.

Hi Guys first post here.

I have been using emm for a while now managing a fairly large library with blu-ray folder rips.

I recently had to re-install everything, and need emm to recognise all the previous meta-data, artwork and nfos that it created in the movie folders and is still all stored there. My question is how do I do this?

Can anyone help on this

Cheers

Simply set the options as well as the files are stored:

Avatar.nfo -> set <movie>.nfo
Avatar.tbn -> set <movie>.tbn
poster.jpg -> set poster.jpg

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - mauzzz - 2013-01-27

I'm somewhat confused over how to update Ember 1.3.0.7 (from purple pig) to the latest 4.2 fix. Can I do a clean install with the fix or should I overwrite? And if overwriting do I need also previous fixes or is the 4.2 fix enough?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Finchy - 2013-01-27

I just create a copy of the EMM folder (just in case), then copy all the files for the new version over the top. Usually works for me, and if there are any problems I can revert back to the backup folder and replace it with that.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Dragen - 2013-01-27

Mr. DanCooper, sir. Could you please make EMM fill in the <id></id> tag in the tvshow .nfo? This is needed for Artwork Downloader to insert extra fanart such logos into the database.

I've tried to force it to large in the settings but it's not making a difference. Anyone have any idea?

Failing that, If I were to reinstall and wanted to keep my settings what files do I need to keep?

If you mean when you want to change artwork then you need to Turn off "use image caching" in settings.

Now my next question relates to my post here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=153308
Is there a way to fix this using Ember, is it possible to set Ember to name the NFO as CD2 so Frodo can identify it and get the thumbnail, poster etc.

Did you read the reply from the Dev in the other thread, you will need to use one of the following for stacked movies, the second option is already possible.

Apollo 13 (1995).CD1.avi
Apollo 13 (1995).CD2.avi
Apollo 13 (1995).nfo
Apollo 13 (1995)-poster.jpg
Apollo 13 (1995)-fanart.jpg

or

Apollo 13 (1995).CD1.avi
Apollo 13 (1995).CD2.avi
movie.nfo
poster.jpg
fanart.jpg

All fixes are full packages. You don't need a older version.

Yes you can. Under the Ember program dir there is a folder called images and within it there is the Genres where you can find all the images
There you can create all your pictures.
Then in Ember you can map the Spanish names in the genre field with the appropriate image name.

If you create great art for geners let us know if you want to contribute them Smile

Hoping it helps.

Ember can only currently do the following if you want stacked movies to work

Apollo 13 (1995).CD1.avi
Apollo 13 (1995).CD2.avi
movie.nfo
poster.jpg
fanart.jpg

That will work, you don't need to use the file name in images or nfo if your movies are in separate folders.

But Ember will not do that, movie.nfo does not work when there is 2 movies (cd1 and cd2) in the folder. Ember does not save any .nfo to the folder.
When I select <movie>.nfo and <movie>.tbn it saves to the folder but XBMC does not read it as it's not the correct format.
