It looks like it also supports playing from chrome or firefox. My API keys are included and it used to work flawlessly in earlier versions. Everything else seems to still be working fine. Need a log to determine why this may be happening. https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy (2024-06-21, 15:58)Marxiboy Wrote: Since a few versions back, sometimes I'm stuck with crappy French audio translation. Good Mythical Morning channel is doing this and I can't switch the audio back to original. Need a log to determine why this may be happening. https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy (2024-06-21, 00:02)sneezing_subsystem Wrote: Happy to test as needed - feel free to ping me anytime. This should have been fixed in https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/releases/tag/v7.0.8 (2024-06-24, 06:21)TheDoomGeneration Wrote: on ubuntu with kde, kodi is crashing on launch of this addon. The problem seems to be a fatal python error. Not related specifically to this plugin. https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/24440 (2024-06-25, 12:08)senna99 Wrote: Any help is welcome, log error, Kodi v22 You have not configured your OAuth credentials correctly. The type needs to be "TV and Limited Input" or similar (2024-06-26, 09:29)JNRW Wrote: At the risk of becoming a bore my YouTube (v7.0.8) live streams run perfectly, if a little slow to start, with InputStream Adaptive disabled. The problem you are experiencing appears to be an issue with InputStream.Adaptive not correctly switching video streams after its initial bandwidth test is completed. Only one other person had reported a similar issue, and I though that it was because InputStream.Adaptive was switching to a different Representation using a different codec, but within the same AdaptationSet. Disabling InputStream.Adaptive avoids the issue because you use ffmpeg to load the live streams instead. Please open an issue on Github, need more testing to determine whether it is actually related to the initial video switch after the bandwidth test or a more general issue. It was working fine without any issues. Running 7.0.5 version. Run the Setup Wizard, use the default settings, and then configure the performance settings based on your device capabilities. (2024-06-27, 19:21)ashlar Wrote: I have a personal API key created and set up oauth for limited devices/tv. I still get invalid client/unauthorised error 401 when trying to sign in. Using 7.0.5 from the repository. Any suggestions? Without sign in videos are playing back, from Trending or searching. If you are absolutely sure that you are using the correct OAuth details (it is a common problem - you will need to create new credentials of the correct type and ensure that the new credentials are using in the plugin, not the old ones that may be the incorrect type), then you may simply not have authorised access for the personal project that you created. A debug log may provide greater details as to what the actual problem is. In addition to send2kodi there is also https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/castkodi/ I think using send2kodi for YouTube won't actually involve this plugin, for better or worse (likely to be slower, only play the progressive video streams, previously limited to <720p but now even lower quality, and won't integrate with any user account related functions i.e. history, rating, watch later etc.) RE: YouTube - ashlar - 2024-07-08 (2024-07-06, 08:12)MoojMidge Wrote: In addition to send2kodi there is also https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/castkodi/Does this call the plugin? RE: YouTube - axbmcuser - 2024-07-10 If it might help someone in terms of convenience: I added the latest regular GIT versions "7.0.9 beta 3" for both Kodi 18 (Leia) and Kodi 19+ to my repository today RE: YouTube - xenophrenia - 2024-07-11 This happens when I play a video on YouTube on my RasPi ... it then effects the entire Kodi add-on ... doesn't happen with any other video program (used Twitch and Rumble with no issues) anyone else having this issue? (update) - this seems to have resolved itself?) - if anyone know what may have caused this (and only on YouTube videos) please post in case it happens again ... ![]() RE: YouTube - Bdub50 - 2024-07-11 The new YouTube update has effected everything pretty much. Seems like more of a hardware issue. Maybe a memory allocation issue? In any case nothing can be determined from just a photo. (2024-07-11, 02:56)Bdub50 Wrote: The new YouTube update has effected everything pretty much. In case people aren't aware, changes that are made with YouTube generally happen progressively after some amount of initial testing and may be different depending on a number of different factors. What you may personally experience may be completely different to someone else, so if you have a problem you need to provide sufficient detail of what that problem is. Being cryptic about things achieves nothing. That being said, there hasn't been any new update that impacts the operation of this plugin if it is configured properly. RE: YouTube - Bdub50 - 2024-07-11 No what I meant is since YouTube did its update other things haven’t worked but some fo the developers of other have their stuff working now others are still working on it that’s all RE: YouTube - Bdub50 - 2024-07-11 Other things I meant such as other sites platforms software etc etc it’s not just here fo example smart tube was effected working now so is internet downloder both had 403 error codes RE: YouTube - MatteN - 2024-07-11 (2024-07-11, 13:26)Bdub50 Wrote: Other things I meant such as other sites platforms software etc etc it’s not just here fo example smart tube was effected working now so is internet downloder both had 403 error codes Yep, FreeTube, SmartTube, JDownloader, among others was affected, they are all working now. RE: YouTube - MoojMidge - 2024-07-11 I don't get it. What do you mean it is not just here? What other things haven't worked? Do you have a problem with this plugin not working? Or are you just commenting about other YouTube clients in general and not this plugin? There haven't been changes that prevented playback in this plugin for quite some time afaik. RE: YouTube - Bdub50 - 2024-07-11 YouTube clients in general and not this plugin is what im referring to RE: YouTube - Bdub50 - 2024-07-11 (2024-07-11, 14:27)MatteN Wrote:Yeah now waiting for the Internet Downloder to come out with an update and i'll be set.(2024-07-11, 13:26)Bdub50 Wrote: Other things I meant such as other sites platforms software etc etc it’s not just here fo example smart tube was effected working now so is internet downloder both had 403 error codes RE: YouTube - OzDrDj - 2024-07-12 Changes made to YouTube are like Tennis, YouTube makes a change, Developers fix their ad-block, YouTube makes a change, Developers fix the ad-block, and around and around we go.
