patkhoo Wrote:Well one important point I think is that you need to have a . (dot) before the CD1..

Instead of "3-10 to Yuma CD1.avi", try "3-10 to Yuma.cd1.avi"

Alternatively, you should try using the one folder per movie method..

Well putting the .CD1.avi didn't work. I end up with a .CD1.nfo

I already have my movies with 1 movie per folder. I just prefer using <moviename>.nfo
instead of movie.nfo for archival purposes.

i'm trying to filter out .LiNE. from the video library when loading movies in EMM, i've tried all kind of expressions but can't seem to be able to filter it out, example - (?i)[ _.-]line.* and so on but still the movie is loaded with line at the end of the name in library, can someone please help? thanks

I don't know, but I think the "." (dot) is a special character in regex.. do you need to do a \. (backslash-dot) ? Sorry, wish i could help more..

just a dot, i also tried (?i)[ _.-]line[ _.-] with no luck

for example this Aliens.In.The.Attic.R5.LiNE.XviD-DEViSE is loaded as Aliens In The Atticline

Clean Files - Pr.Sinister - 2009-09-07

What does the Clean Files setting do?

And how does the Expert Tab for this setting work?

Hmm, ran into some problems. I moved about 250 movies into the folder that I had configured as the library folder in EMM. However, after doing so, EMM no longer starts up. I've left the computer for about 20 minutes and it still didn't start, and when checking with resource monitor it uses no CPU and no disk activity. I tried moving those movies back to a different folder again but EMM still doesn't start - any ideas?

EDIT: Ok, the problem seems to be related to the window size. I noticed by the windows 7 aero preview that the window looked like it had loaded correctly, but I couldn't get into the application. If I right-clicked and chose "Maximize" however, it opened up, but as soon as I "un-maximized" the window again it was gone. Windowloc was set to -32000 both x and y.

a kind request:
I create the nfo files for my offline library like this:

For videos produced by me or that does not have an IMDB entry:
<movie>
<title>Il magico mondo degli animali</title>
</movie>

for videos with IMDB entry:
<movie>
<title>La sirenetta</title>
</movie>
http://imdb.com/title/tt0097757/

The problem is that EMM tries to find my movies (the first category) in IMDB anyway and screws up the library with wrong information.

How can I avoid it?

Even worst even if I've locked the title for the movies in the fist category (without the URL) the title is overwritten. Am I doing something wrong or is a bug?

Thanks,
Mf

Any possible solution on this? is quite critical as I have a lot of media not in IMDB

what i would really like to see in EMM is the possibility to trim down the given languages of the audio and subtiltle language dropdown lists in the meta tag editor to those you really need.

it's a mess if you need to set up missing data here and have to scroll through that enormous list just to set 1 language. i have to set a huge amount of meta data by hand for my offline media, so this would really help me in my progress.

i've tried to trim down the xml i found in langs\Languages.xml but that seems not to affect this dropdown list(s).

if this isn't possible, what about instead of a drop down list simply have a label field here where i can type in the needed language?

i'm really typing faster "German" or "English" than i can scroll though that list Wink

most dropdownlists in various programs (e.g. in firefox) allow to enter the first (or all) letters of the desired option, and it jumps directly to that option. imho the best solution to this would be, if EMM would also work like that. with EMM however, this only works with the first letter.

e.g.:
- current behaviour: if the language dropdownmenu is open and focused, and i type GER, it jumps to "Rabha", which is the first option starting with the letter R
- suggested behaviour: when typing GER, it should jump to "Gera", which is the first option starting with "GER..". then, if a append an M quickly, it moves on to "German". by that i have found the right option in a vast list with only 4 keypresses.

Would be nice if ember automatically recognized that video_ts in a filename=dvd sourced. Smile

Guess the whole forum is waiting quietly for the TV show support. If you guys need an alpha tester for it, shoot me a note...

Besides that, anothe feature request for the movie section: would be great if there was a function that allows me to rescan "media flags" and identify studios without flag and instead change automatically to a different studio, which has a flag to support it. Today, I can do this manually, but it would take ages to do so.

Very slow - specialblend - 2009-09-13

I have been using EMM for awhile now and I love it, never ran into any major problems.

However that was on my computer up at school, I am trying to use EMM back home on another comp and have run into a problem I cannot figure out. Technically everything is working, but it takes about 10-15 min per movie, sometimes longer, and this is just for nfo updates, no pics or trailers. My computer is showing 50% cpu usage as the "scraping" status bar slowly moves, so something is going wrong (I wanted to blame it on the servers, but dont think its that anymore). I am using version r1030, but have tried other versions and have encountered the same problem. On xp sp3 with all updates.

Any ideas to solve this would be awesome thanks!
