RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - schumi2004 - 2015-09-02 (2015-09-01, 22:44)CinemaVision-Scott Wrote:(2015-09-01, 17:07)schumi2004 Wrote: Is there btw any other method running CV instead of adding it to playlist and run sequence from CV ? Thanks for your fast reply, awesome! But getting back to my question. It seems there is a method to launch it properly, atleast your answer seems to indicate this. Would you mind sharing this code with us or arguments to use? It's in the first few posts in the thread. Look for Skin Integration. Damm, missed it but eventually i was already using that (without luck). Running version 0.0.24 now and noticed a few things. Started from scratch and disabled almost everything except for a few things like countdown, rating and added short films. I noticed that when i saved sequence i was unable to save it locally , could only save it in locations created with filemanager. After disabling a few things i noticed that it didn't respect my settings. for example i disabled trailers and when you play sequence from within addon it indeed skips trailers but when you use the skin integration method it ignored this and started playing trailers. I also could only once have CV actually play the movie selected to use with CV, this was with adding it to playlist and then selecting play seqeunce from addon context menu. When using skin integration method it never played the movie, also not in previous versions! I know it's in beta or not even that but just reporting it. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - MidnightWatcher - 2015-09-02 I downloaded the CinemaVision video bumpers and see that they're 25 fps. Will any be created that are 23.976 fps by chance? RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Levi59 - 2015-09-02 Just to know, is it possible to create intro without text but to launch them with text apart as if it was subtitle file? It would be possible to change the text language without duplicate video... We're just about ready for public beta on our end. When it's out, follow the instructions in the beta thread on our site and if these things are still broken, send over a link to your log so we can troubleshoot. We likely won't be hosting several instances of the same video set. You're welcome to re-encode them using Handbrake for free to fit your needs, though. It would be possible to change the text language without duplicate video... It's not possible that I'm aware of, especially with anything other than a plain colored font overlay with no blending options applied to them (shadows, stroke, etc.) and no animations like what you see in them now, but we'd be open to exploring that idea for sure. It'll probably take a good bit of development money to accomplish, so it won't be for a while. We're pretty tapped out, at the moment. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Levi59 - 2015-09-03 It was just an idea to easily create videos (intro, trivia, bumper ...) in all languages without blowing the storage space on your sites. And also to facilitate any customization. And also to facilitate any customization. Don't get me wrong, that's a great idea. We'd kicked around a similar idea with trivia, but abandoned it because we couldn't get professional looking content to work quite right. With new web technologies on the horizon, maybe that will be possible in the future! On another note. You should all check the first post. It's here. CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - sarlan19 - 2015-09-03
It's here.
Yeah! The only hiccup I have is with slides. When a slide changes you got a flash of the previous one for a brief moment. I was using fade as the transition and the copycat pack Also my feature presentation intro is not playing even if the file is in the folder. Great work! All is needed now is to iron a couple of bugs and some "real" audio bumper so that if the movie is in dts-hd the audio bumper is too. The audio bumpers are working just fine for me, as well. I was able to verify every format we have listed that has autodetection enabled, so I'm not sure what's going on there with your install. I'll be away for a couple of days. Will do more testing when I comeback. Will let you know then. Thanks for the work you put into this. This addon is one of the most "supported" I've ever seen. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - mikeSiLVO - 2015-09-04 Hi, I have been testing the beta out for only a little bit today in preparation of integrating it into my skin mod and I have a question The old Cinema Experience script set a property while it was running so you could base conditionals on whether it was active or not Code: SubString(Window(Videos).Property(CinemaExperienceRunning),True) Code: IsEmpty(Window(Videos).Property(PlayingBackgroundMedia)) Does the script currently set a property I can use to control things while it is running? Thanks. RE: CinemaVision Add-on: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - P_Jamula - 2015-09-04 Hi: I am from Pakistan. Here we watch a lot of movies from Bollywood (indian). These movies are typically 2.5 to 3 hours long. In the cinema houses there is normally a 5-10 minute intermission at about the halfway point in the movie. Would you consider adding a feature to your product to calculate the length of the movie and automatically have an intermission (time adjustable by user). maybe we can see some trivia during the intermission and then the movie restarts automatically after the intermission. this will allow for snack and toilet breaks during long movies. To answer your question, no it currently does not. When we started creating the development roadmap for the add-on, I didn't know that Cinema Experience had features like this for skinners. We'll be adding that in before release. (2015-09-04, 08:18)P_Jamula Wrote: Hi: See, and this is why I love doing this stuff. I had no idea that was a part of your culture on that side of the world. Technically, you could do that manually by using a program like Handbrake to cut your movie into two parts at a specific time, and queue up the two halves. I know that's a pain, so I'll be chatting with the developer about your request to see if it's something that's possible. If it is, and it's easy to do, we'll try to work it in. If not, it will have to wait until round two of development for the add-on. The risk you run with that feature is you might cut off a movie in the middle of dialog, so we'd have to think about ways to get around that. |
