In the meantime you can change debug=True to False in addon.xml There doesn’t seem to be a specific pattern to replicate it. It seems really intermittent, however sometimes enabling kiosk mode and then disabling it seems to fix it but that doesn’t seem to work 100% of the time. I’m going to install 2.5.8 and report back with my findings RE: Copacetic for Kodi Nexus (v20) - From the official repo - Aduwork - 2024-08-04 Apologies for posting again but I can’t see how I can edit my previous post. One thing I have noticed is with autoplay trailers enabled, tv show trailers will only play when you go into each individual season. So for example if I highlight a show the trailer will not play, but if I click into it and highlight a season it will play. Is this by design? If so is it an easy fix to get it to play on the main show selection? I'll push a fixed version 2.6.0 later today, thanks! There really isn’t anything that is comparable in terms of design. But I’m very picky, so anything I find I’ll post on here if you’re ok with that. I appreciate that you’re doing this for free and will have other priorities but keep up the good work RE: Copacetic for Kodi Nexus (v20) - From the official repo - realcopacetic - 2024-08-05 (2024-08-05, 01:44)Aduwork Wrote:(2024-08-04, 19:32)realcopacetic Wrote:(2024-08-04, 17:53)Aduwork Wrote: Apologies for posting again but I can’t see how I can edit my previous post.Hey, that is indeed a mistake and not by design, but luckly it was an easy fix, I had a rogue typo that was flipping the expression so the tv show trailers would only show when tv shows ARE NOT displayed, rather than ARE displayed, which would explain why it was working for you instead when seasons were displayed. I'll push a fixed version 2.6.0 later today, thanks! Hi this is more of a request than a bug, but in the topic of trailers I’ve noticed that there is no osd for the video player. So this means that we can’t pause, rewind etc when a trailer plays. All I can do is go back to the previous screen. Is this by design? Would it be difficult to add that as a feature? It's just playing the trailer in a background window, but then I've chosen to hide the list of movies/tvshows during playback. Originally I had it so it was just playing in the background and nothing was hidden, but I found it pretty distracting. The other thing is Netflix curates the trailers (usually clips) to ensure it fits properly in the space they have, but in the wild, a lot of trailers have green intro screens and black bars etc, so it looked a bit crap in my mind until I made it fullscreen with everything else hidden. When a list item is playing a trailer, left/right navigates the list and up/down stops playback without changing the focused item. (if you're in a vertical scrolling view, e.g. list, those directions are flipped). Potentially I could experiment with having something like up to stop and down to pause/play. If you have buttons on your control for pause and rewind, these should work, but I think there might be some strange results that I never got around to looking into. The other thing that can be done is that on autoplay, it forced playback in the actual videoplayer window instead of in the background of the current window you're in. That way you will get full osd, but the limitation is after you exit playback, you'll have to navigate back to where you were. Out of interest, do you use trailer autoplay in your videos window (movies/tvshows) or in widgets? I find it pretty distracting if I want to go into my library, but I like using it on some widgets. There's a widget view called Grid spotlight where the thumbnails are small and stay present at the bottom of the screen for more of a Netflix experience and you can also enable an option called autoscroll which will basically move to the next item and play the trailer after one is finished. It was inspired by the Netflix view after you finish watching something where it plays trailers from other things on auto. I like combining this view with something like TMDBHelper addon so I can get a list of new trending movies and autolay trailers for things coming out soon (Currently Alien Romulus, Trap etc). Edit to add: If you've seen a better implementation in another skin or have ideas of how this can be improved, I'd love to hear them, thanks! RE: Copacetic for Kodi Nexus (v20) - From the official repo - Aduwork - 2024-08-07 Thank you for your response. I have auto trailer enabled everywhere - so main items and widgets. The only thing I’ve seen in another skin that I quite like is the ability to play the trailer with a shortcut key. As things stand I can set the time before a trailer auto plays but I quite like having it only play if I press a button. So on a left to right view say strip in your skin which I tend to use, maybe pushing down could play the trailer? I know the workaround would be for me to disable auto play and then long press on a movie, select information and select trailer but a shortcut would be good. RE: Copacetic for Kodi Nexus (v20) - From the official repo - Aduwork - 2024-08-07 Sorry to post again (is there a way to edit previous posts?) But I have just thought of something that happens occasionally on trailers. A portrait trailer plays as opposed to a full screen trailer. Which doesn’t look great. Would this be a bug, or are you at the mercy of where Kodi pulls trailers from? Yes this would most likely be due to the source of the trailer selected by the scraper you use, which tends to be a YouTube URL pulled from tmdb. You can overwrite this is you like. My preferred method is to create a 'combination NFO' so I can manually control some fields, like studio and trailer, while leaving the rest to the online source: https://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files/Combination If you're interested I can share one here and explain how to update it for the movie you wish to change the trailer for RE: Copacetic for Kodi Nexus (v20) - From the official repo - realcopacetic - 2024-08-07 (2024-08-07, 15:09)Aduwork Wrote: Thank you for your response. I could make an option for this I think. Will add it to the Todo list. Probably wouldn't work for widgets though as you need down and up to navigate between rows RE: Copacetic for Kodi Nexus (v20) - From the official repo - Aaiemron - 2024-09-27 deleted RE: Copacetic for Kodi Nexus (v20) - From the official repo - Rauhallinen - 2024-10-07 Is there any way to 'factory reset' all of Copacetic's settings? Great theme overall, just got bit lost in all of the customisations and would like to go back to square one. Removing and then reinstalling did not really help. Nearly all of the settings seem to be saved somewhere. Thanks, yep, you want to delete the file in the location userdata > addon_data > skin.copacetic > settings.xml If files and folders are not easily accessible on your device, you can do it through Kodi's File manager in Settings. Profile Directory > addon_data > skin-copacetic > settings.xml, then go to the context menu. If you might want to revert, rename instead of deleting |
