RE: YouTube - MoojMidge - 2024-08-24 (2024-08-19, 02:01)klendool Wrote: I've been meaning to replace it but been too busy - I have the router that my ISP provided in my shed so I might have a look at swapping it out and see if that makes any difference It that is not the problem, would need to open a feature request for InputStream.Adaptive to be able to handle multiple BaseURL entries in a MPEG-DASH manifest. Just follow the advice that was previously given: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?pid=3206278#pid3206278 (2024-08-22, 22:03)DJ_Izumi Wrote: However it seems they're all updating the resume point in my MySQL DB because I can go to a client that has an 'out of date' resume point stored locally vs what another client put into the MySQL DB, select 'Reset Resume Position' and instead of resetting it to '0:00' it seems to only THEN pull the resume point from MySQL. So I have to use 'Reset Resume Position' to resume where I left off on another client. This is a somewhat common problem for all video plugins where listitem urls change, where the data that Kodi stores for playcount and resumetime will not match the plugin listing, and so this data gets lost. The local history database was a workaround for this, but people requested that local plugin history should also match what is in the Kodi database. This was done, but the natural outcome of using multiple single user plugin databases syncing to a shared database like you are doing, is that the individual plugin databases will get out of sync because the shared database does not sync anything back to the plugin database. Nothing can be done about it apart from disabling the local history. There was also a request to allow for using a shared MySQL database for the plugin database, which would resolve the problem for your setup, but don't have the time to look into implementing that at the moment. Okay great, I better understand the problem and my 'best solution' at this time. Thanks a lot. I do hope you find time to get something into MySQL but I guess at the time relying on YouTube to store that info is the best option for now. Thank you. RE: YouTube - appas - 2024-08-27 I am having trouble with the Youtube add-on, version 7.0.9.1: I can not sign in. I used to just use the add-on without signing in, but now, it says "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot". When I try to sign in, I get the "google.com/device" code. When I enter that code at that URL and authorize the add-on, the Google page says "Success! Device connected", but in Kodi, it shows the "error: invalid client, code 401" message, no matter how many times I try. I tried searching the thread, but haven't read through all 160+ pages of it, so sorry if this has already been answered. RE: YouTube - diridachta - 2024-08-27 Simiral problem here! I have a small media player (Eminent EM7680) with CoreELEC official 19.5.0 (and kodi 19.4 i believe). I was using with small issues the addon (it needed 2-3 tries to start playing a video) till the update 7.0.9.1 yesterday were it stopped altogether with several messages like "Fail to playback". So I uninstall it, reboot and install it again. Now I cannot sign in as a user and I have the same problem as APAS in thread #2,433. That means I get the "google.com/device" message, I enter the code in my windows browser, the google page accepts it with the "Success! Device connected" and then kodi shows for 2-3 seconds the error "error:invalid client, code 401", together with some OAuth error that I cannot see because it appears and dissapears too fast for me. I am a newbie were kodi is concerned, so please be kind in your answer. I'm trying my best here ![]() RE: YouTube - phyrros1 - 2024-08-30 Since the last update, every time I delete an entry in one of my playlists, the page automatically refreshes and the first entry on that page is highlighted. This behavior is a little annoying. In the previous version, after deleting an entry, the next one was highlighted. Could this be changed to either not auto-refresh or have the next entry be highlighted? RE: YouTube - MoojMidge - 2024-08-31 @appas, @diridachta - slax57 has provided some instructions on Github: https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/issues/439#issuecomment-1509319017. Pay close attention to step number 10 as that is what is causing the error you are experiencing. (2024-08-30, 12:01)phyrros1 Wrote: Could this be changed to either not auto-refresh or have the next entry be highlighted? If the listing doesn't refresh then the item you have just deleted will appear to still be in your playlist. Unfortunately Kodi will not update a listing if the plugin url has not changed, and changing the plugin url is what causes the current position in the listing to be lost. It is possible to workaround this by storing the old list position and restoring the list position when the list is refreshed. I'll have to see if it is practical to do so. RE: YouTube - pmrtvcom - 2024-08-31 I am using Kodi 20 as supplied with Debian bookworm, and YouTube addon 7.0.9.1. Unfortunately I seem to have no sound - only a 0 channels stream - when I try to view live content. Other content is unaffected. This means I have to leave Kodi and run a browser to get this content on. Why would this be and are there any settings I should try changing? Run the Setup Wizard. Otherwise, if the problem persists, will need to see a debug log. (2024-09-01, 09:47)phyrros1 Wrote: Maybe it would be possible to make it optional via setting? There are too many settings already. The next version will restore list position when a list is refreshed. RE: YouTube - fatsteve - 2024-09-02 Minor issue. Thumbnails are not loading for a handful (1 or 2 in the list of 50) of videos in the My Subscriptions list. However when I go to the channel of that video the thumbnail loads fine. Going back to My Subscriptions and that same video again shows no thumbnail even though it just loaded fine in the channel's listing, and I assume has been cached. Seems random as it happens on different channels, but only on one or two of their videos. I think it started after upgrading to Kodi 21.1.0, but I can't say for sure. Using 7.0.9.2 Kind Regards. |
