I get my movie posters myself and ude Photoshop to put Blu-Ray cover on my Blu-Ray movies and there's some transparency involved so they are saved as png. It would be nice if they would show in ember. If it's not too much trouble.

I have wrote this on the to do list.

Thanks!

I just started to use the new version. I'm trying to scrape the TV shows, but the option is grayed out. Is this normal??

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - exiledone1 - 2013-02-01

I need a little help with something. I have finished getting everything straight in Ember and also just finished removing all my sources in XBMC so I can start fresh.

Now I want to add all my movies and TV shows back into XBMC. I'm using the newest release of Frodo and I went and added a movies source and a TV source. Now my problem is I'm at the set content screen and don't know what settings to use or what to click to have XBMC scan all my Ember stuff into it.

So in other words how do I get XBMC to recognize all my Ember settings when I'm in the set content menu. In the past I used to just select run automatic scan but that isn't in Frodo anymore. Help and thanks

Ps. No matter what I can't seem to get XBMC to scan my ember settings when it's adding my movies into XBMC. I'm noticing all my fan art is wrong and not the same one I picked with Ember. I'm having to go to each movie, hit movie information and than choose the right art

With each movie and TV show in a separate folder, the following works for me:

For Movies
Videos => Files => Add Videos => Browse to location => Enter a name => OK
Set Content => This directory contains "Movies" => Movies are in separate folders... => OK
Change Content => Yes

For TV shows
Videos => Files => Add Videos => Browse to location => Enter a name => OK
Set Content => This directory contains "TV shows" => OK
Change Content => Yes

I have been using emm for a while now managing a fairly large library with blu-ray folder rips.

I recently had to re-install everything, and need emm to recognise all the previous meta-data, artwork and nfos that it created in the movie folders and is still all stored there. My question is how do I do this?

Can anyone help on this

Cheers

I was in the same situation before. Normally, it just works. there is nothing special to do.
It wasn't working in my case, because I was playing with windows 8 (now windows 2012).

I had to do 2 things:
kill all EMM processes (for some reasons, several instances were running)
updated the .exe property to run as administrator and in compatibility mode

then everything went fine.

lately, I also had to upgrade to the latest EMM version that went out recently because of broken scraper

Ok thanks...ill give this a try again. Question though...do I need to delete my old Nfo files and let Ember redo them too? I only deleted all the old images and such and let ember redo it all. I did mark the new Frodo button for the settings too.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Tarom - 2013-02-01

Does anyone have an advice on my situation? - I was unable to get any Art with Art Downloader so I switched to Ember Media Manager; as I asked it to pull fanart.jpg, poster.jpg, folder.jpg and backfrop.jpg (no idea what that is) problem is when I get it , all files have a size of 1 kb and dimensions of 1x1. What am I doing wrong?

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - bisk - 2013-02-01

I've just updated my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 8 and I'm trying to update my library. When I click the Update Library button Ember seems to get stuck there with Performing Preliminary Tasks.

Here's the content from the errlog.txt.
