Are you familiar with the advanced launcher? Should it work?
I believe Advanced Launcher development has halted some time ago and it's no longer available on the Kodi repo.
Maybe someone still maintains it, in that case ask that person to support adding it's path as widget.

I'm sorry but that's not possible. There's no possibility to show video in the image boxes without utilizing the Kodi player.

At the moment you start Kodi, get into the main menu and the items and pictures show up little by little. Would be sweet if this happens in the background and for that time you see some fullscreen overlay or so.
Did you try to set up a intro/splash picture or video ?
You can configure that in the skin settings.

No, that's not possible without some very large hacks.
Kodi doesn't have a dynamic video control or whatsoever. You have to trigger the internal player to show video content.

Is there another way to start Windows programs in Kodi and add them as widget shortcuts?

The only way i could think of atm is using the Program advanced Emulator launcher by selecting the executable Program, and then shortcutting it to super favourites for a widget.
There could be an easier solution though.

Tried to reproduce this issues but I couldn't. The view changes back correctly. I've tested it with the YouTube addon.

I only see "play playlist on startup" and choosing a picture there doesn't seem to work, Kodi starts normally as before.
Landscape View Scrolbar - User 206796 - 2016-09-19
Bug:
Unable to navigate to/select scrollbar in landscape view, neither horizontal nor vertical navigation. Scrollbar is selectable in other landscape views(details/single row). Bug exists in both stable and beta versions.
RFE:
Plot Overlay custom color option and timing option(seconds delay before overlay).
I'm also experiencing erratic behavior with forced views that others have reported. They are hard to reproduce consistently. Behavior that I am seeing consistently is a flashing of a seemingly random view before the chosen forced view settles in. Sometimes the flashing view is a view from a previously viewed section. Sometimes not. To try and avoid that I tried disabling views that I don't use. Problem with that is when navigating to a section with a now disabled view, there seems to be no fallback view. So all that is seen is a background image in that section, but no content to select.
Still love this skin though. Thanks.

Been using the skin for a while and just noticed this...
For TV Shows, I use the Next Episodes, Recently Added Episodes & Next Airing Episodes. The header info for Next Episodes is different than the other two. Would it be possible to add air date for the other widgets? I would especially like it for Next Airing so I can see when the episode will be on.

Well I Success adding some code to views and using onfocus to activate the trailer in a videowindow and work

Anyway, it was also what I was thinking to do so I'll add that for next beta release.
