You would have to be more clear about the deinterlacing setting. Post this in the main form so aracnoz can see it. I have it turned on, but know nothing about its function. If the label is inaccurate, it should be changed. RE: HOW TO - Configure Kodi DSPlayer with LAV Filters, XySubFilter & madVR - Warner306 - 2015-10-29 I'm still confused on the bit depths. Is this any better? Typically, TVs supporting UHD resolutions also support 10-bit output, but this is not always the case. UHD TVs supporting High Dynamic Range (HDR) are the only models currently requiring this spec. Many olders TVs are also native 10 bit panels. To confirm 10-bit output is received, the following test protocol can be undertaken. Remapping an 8-bit (Rec. 709) source to a larger gamut is possible but will not likely result in any gain in color saturation or image detail. This expansion increases the number of steps between each color for an additional 2-bits of precision and less added dithering. However, the result can be inaccurate colors due to an improper mapping of the new gamut or improper display by the TV. 10-bit (Rec. 2020) sources are the only sources that truly benefit from 10-bit output by preserving the expanded gamut contained within the source. I feel like I writing over my head, even if this guide is just for fun. When I set DSplayer with Madvr, the movies play in slow motion. Picture look awesome, but it doesn't play smooth. But when I change back to the default player in kodi, it plays just fine. What did I do wrong? By the way I have Intel Nuc i5 5th gen. with Windows 10 Ok when I change it to DXVA image still a little choppy, but for some reason it doesn't play DTS-HD audio. But when I Disable DTS-HD and chose regular DTS, the movies is no longer choppy and I get regular DTS audio and not DTS-HD. Playing movies with DTS-HD, the image is choppy, but disable DTS-HD the image is fine. Any ideas why ![]() RE: HOW TO - Configure Kodi DSPlayer with LAV Filters, XySubFilter & madVR - Warner306 - 2015-10-30 (2015-10-30, 17:49)hugh6881 Wrote:(2015-10-29, 15:00)hugh6881 Wrote:(2015-10-29, 08:17)Warner306 Wrote: The NUC uses integrated graphics, so you won't get much further than the default madVR settings. You could also try setting image upscaling to "DXVA," which also offers pretty good quality at a low cost. DTS-HD can't be decoded because of your audio equipment. The video won't be any choppier. Just stick with DTS. Please keep this type of correspondence in the official DSPlayer forum. I followed the guide to the letter but subtitles are not being displayed. I do see a list of several PSG subtitle choices during playback when using the subtitle menu but nothing is being displayed. External subtitles do work. How do I get PSG subtitles being displayed ? External subtitles do work. How do I get PSG subtitles being displayed ? Access the Audio Settings menu during playback, and enable the subtitles checkbox. Save for all videos. Also, check PGS subtitles and the correct language in the LAV Splitter. You might also have an issue with the subtitle selection mode (do not select forced in LAV or XySubFilter if this is the incorrect mode). When not using "forced mode" , what does default mode do? And when to use advanced? Sorry, that's three ;-) Thanks! RE: HOW TO - Configure Kodi DSPlayer with LAV Filters, XySubFilter & madVR - Warner306 - 2015-11-14 Take this question to the main forum. Someone may be able to help you there. I'm not an expert in subtitles. What subtitle selection mode are you using?
