Been an avid fan of EMM for months. Havnt visited the forum for a while because it just works, but lately like others fanart etc hasnt scraped so i came to see if others have the same problem but instead found out about Nul and his situation.
As far as i can see no one has stepped up, and taken the reins of EMM. We cant let this program die, i really dont want to have to goto another media manager, EMM has so many things right where as other programs just dont cut it.
Is someone taking over development?
and if so, when can we expect scraping to be fixed?
Edit: 3-4 hours later i return, having tried 4 other "media managers" oh my dear lord, please someone take EMM on, i reallllly took it for granted how easy it was to scrape movies, mainly how little effort it took to get results!

Im in the same boat, been looking at other media browsers and I have to say EMM is the easiest and best so far for me, really hope someone carrys on with this great program

There is no need of username/password. You can just grab it without authentication.

Apparently themoviedb is having issues with the old 2.0 api lookup

If you take a look at the clsScrapeTMDB.vb file you can see that EMM is still using this..

According to TMDB it's their problem, and it should be back up and working again. But apparently according to other posts at TMDB the database they use on the backend for these media scrapers caches the data for a couple of days, so all the bad data will still be there until it gets purged. The post at http://forums.themoviedb.org/post/3176/#p3176 says it would be about 20 hours before things start getting sorted out.
So far, some movies that would not scrape are working now, but not all, I guess it depends on when the data was last cached.
So it could be another day for the TMDB database to right itself. <-- my opinion

there is NO scraper that pulls extrathumbs. there is no host that holds them.
those are not supported and added as a hack. you have to provide them for yourself (although emm can easy generate them for you or let you assign fanart to them)

Thanks, as long as EMM can generate them then that is what i need. I will cross fingers that EMM keeps running.

yip i can confirm it is working! (scraping all my movies now)
Trailers still not working, even if tmdb has them, but this has been like that for quite a while now. (not concerned at all anymore, shit ill manually download those.. anything compared to the shit i went through last night with those other media manager/manual scrapers)

Runs fast and get everything in order.
I have a small issue though and did not find anything on it: the plot outline is inside some parameters and the tagline is there is one is not scrapped, <p> is displayed.
Here is a screenshot:
The problem is that XBMC is displaying those <p>.
It might be some changes on the IMDB page or something.
