RE: Arctic Horizon - xinput - 2021-02-27

I‘m still experiencing Kodi freezes when video playback is stopped (using AH 0.5.62).

Any ideas on how to fix this? It was mentioned that it was supposed to be fixed on 0.5.61.

Everything else seems to work pretty solid so far.

Make sure to update Skin Variables to 0.2.5.

I updated skin variables to 0.2.5 from jurials repository and disabled autoupdate (as is hot updated to 0.0.3 everytime from official Kodi repo). Still had this error.
I might try reinstall whole AH skin to check if this helps.

Couldn‘t edit my previous posts, therefore here‘s an update:
Ich rechecked my config and noticed that skin variables add on is automatically disabled when using v.0.2.5. and I’m not able to enable it as Kodi says that it‘s not compatible with this Kodi version.

V0.0.3 Is working with Kodi 19 for whatever reason. Any ideas?

This was happening for me too for the last couple days with Skin Variables and also with TMDbHelper but seems to have settled now and no longer reverting to the older versions.

What I'm still missing is the widget options provided by Skin Helper Service Widgets as it seems that's not yet python 3 compatible... specifically 'Next Episodes' grouped by show (so you only see the next unwatched episode for each show in a widget rather than all unwatched episodes.  If anyone knows how to achieve this otherwise please let me know!

Nope, I lied... Skin Variables is still reverting to v.0.0.3 whenever I boot Kodi.

I have managed to install Skin Helper Service Widgets now with help from this thread, but it's not populating 'Additional widgets' when I try to add a widget when customising home menu... 🤷‍♂️

RE: Arctic Horizon - Deihmos - 2021-02-28

This is a really nice skin. Is there a way to prevent it from scrolling through all the menus when pressing up and down? I would like to lock it and select the menu from the icon on the left.

yes there is an option for that in the skin settings.

Where? I have checked all the settings.

So you don't want it to scroll the widgets when you move up and down, until you press Ok to select that section? If so then no, there is no option which will prevent the widgets from scrolling.

If I am on Movies I want it to stay there without moving to TV and other menu items.

I was going to suggest that but thought you might already know that!

Even so, I would love to have a way where the fullscreen widget is only shown when it is in focus -- i.e. scrolling down would force the next widget into the top row rather than the bottom one. Someone suggested this type of setup a few days ago (sorry can't remember who) and since then I've been thinking more and more about just how much I'd love to be able to do that!

Are you still trying to do this/is it done already? or is there too much skinning limitations with kodi? Regardless you've done outstanding work on Arctic Horizon truly praise worthy with the tools you have been given.

I don't really understand what you mean, if you want it to stay there why are you pressing up and down?

EDIT - Oh I see what you mean, you are scrolling the widgets. If you switch to horizontal menu you won't have this issue, but in vertical there's nothing you can do to stop it.

I didn't even of that. Thanks.
