Thank you very much for the fixes nuzela10!

I would like to encourage anyone, who has the skill to create fixes and patches to get contacted with me on how to get involved more deeply.
In other worlds, we need developers who has the time, skills and commitment to continue Ember development in the way we, and especially nul7 dreamed it since the begining.

Please only apply in case you already have some fixes or new features in your hands. Too many people said here already he/she is interested, but none of them, except nuzela10 provided real evidence of his/her programming skills. A good evaluation of the skills would be for someone to provide a patch for the set manager to make it compatible with xbmc, while also keeping YAMJ support.

I will try to moderate and coordinate any fixes/patches , provided by the community. At least I will do my best.

As a start, I will incorporate the 2 fixes(after fully tested and proven to work) by nuzela10 into googlecode, and then do a new release, so all of you can get it from the official source.

However (at least in the short term) auto-update will be out of order.

I'll keep you informed.

Nick8888 Wrote:provide a debug log

have you tried removing the movies from the library (set content to none) and then re-adding them to the library?(set content to movies)

can you see the nfo, jpg and tbn created by emm?

Yes i can see it in the folder and i just did the rescan for the movie library and it sees the source (bluray) (which is in the file name) and studio flag but not the audio and video. can tell me how to provide a log in this Oo

thanks

EMM not working on this movie - detroitdr - 2009-11-16

Perhaps this may help shore up EMM a little more.. this movie will not scrape in EMM

Help with extra thumbs - detroitdr - 2009-11-16

I've been using EMM for about 3 months. GREAT program.. Can anyone shed some light on this issue(question)

I have all my movies in the same diretory (Media/Movies)
For movies that there is no fanart, i want to use a thumb picture.
I see EMM has that function but I can not get it to work.

Under Settings-Scraper Images I have Extrathumbs and Use Extrathumb if no Fanart Found CHECKED (Number to create = 1)

When I install the latest verson today (API version) R1047, and I tested on a dirctory with only 1 movie... it created a thumbnail directory and and thumb picture. WOW good... so I added another movie to that directory and it doesn't create anymore thumbnails.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you in advance.

For ExtraThumbs to work, you MUST have each movie in it's own folder.
If you have multiple movies in the same folder (as you do) then it's impossible for XBMC, or XMM to know which movie the 'extrathumbs' folder belongs to.

Generally speaking, you would be well advised to store each of your movies in it's own folder.

Thank-you - detroitdr - 2009-11-16

Analog Kid for your quick response... I really don't care about the extra thumbs I just want EMM to take a thumb and use as fanart when fanart is not available....however I believe that even that part won't work as it's a part of the "extra" thumbs.

Thank-you again.

jawgee Wrote:Interesting. So if I were to perform a search & replace within all of my movie.nfo files replacing "<sets>" and "</sets>" with nothing then sets that I set up in Ember will now work in XBMC for me?

Thanks,
jawgee

Yep, I did the samething and it worked like a charm. Just keep in mind it will overwrite the nfo again if you add more movies to a set within ember.

r1055 Beta Full Package for x86 is available for download. I'm sorry, but I don't yet have an x64 environment, so x86 only for the moment. I'll catch up with this as soon as I have some time.

Changelog (all credits goes to nuzela10, thanks!):
Code:
- Fix the issue with <P> in scraped tagline
- TMDB scraper updated to API 2.1 (however I think there is still some space to improve with implementing "getimages" command)

Download

Known major issues:
Code:
- Sets manager not compatible with XBMC

thank you olympia & nuzela10 Big Grin

Great job, thanks Wink

(Dont forget, if you store in .iso files you need to drop the MediaInfo.dll v0.7.11 x86 from the linky on page 1)

And also be aware that it will mostly provide false info...

- JustinAiken - 2009-11-17

Mediainfo is up to 0.7.25

Does that one get you more correct info?

olympia Wrote:And also be aware that it will mostly provide false info...

To be honest I have never had an issue... what in particular is prone to being incorrectly detected?

All my .iso files come via re-authored files sets ripped at 100% quality from my DVDs using AnyDVD. I then dump everything but the main title with either English DD or DTS audio and let DVDShrink spit-out an .iso file.

Perhaps my 'no frills' .iso's are why I have been lucky with the metadata?

clock2113,

I tried the latest mediainfo .dll and it didn't work Huh
The original post does suggest its limited to 0.7.11 tho'

Perhaps it works for you becuase you only inject the main title into your ISOs. In case all the other files are their, MediaInfo is most probably choose the wrong chapter to make the detection...

Providing data from ISOs was not intentional by the developer of Mediainfo. At least this is what he stated as a reply to our inquery before.
