It's picking up the old categories with = in them.
Try deleting the categories.ini file.
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.tvguide.fullscreen/categories.ini

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - pirlone - 2018-12-30

not sure if that's the reason. i deleted user data through plugin settings and checked - there is no categories.ini in folder.
i'm trying it again and if hungs i'm sending whole kodi.log

tnx

 Try 0.17.410
There were two places in the code that needed the = split fix.
I only found the first one in the last version.

Delete or remove the addon data folder and see if you can load your data from scratch.
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.tvguide.fullscreen

If not post or pm me your m3u file. I might be parsing it wrong.

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - pirlone - 2018-12-31

another noobie question. does TV Guide Fullscreen integrates with IPTV Recorder and how? It would be nice to select a show to come in TV Guide Fullscreen and set it to record once or more times.
right now if I select a show in advance, it switches to that channel and immediately starts to play live tv.

i put ffmpeg exe path and recording path in TVGF but doesn't seem to make a difference

TVGF and IPTV Recorder are totally separate.

TVGF and IPTV Recorder are not the optimal solutions for making a PVR.
A dedicated server is best with something like tvheadend or NextPVR.

You can record with TVGF by using AutoPlayWiths.
All you should need to do is set the ffmpeg path and recording folder as you have done.

Recording is not the same as in IPTV Recorder.
You can't start recording the program that is now playing with an AutoPlayWith.
You can immediately record the channel you are watching with the 8 key. 9 to stop.
Note that 9 stops all ffmpeg processes on your computer, including other recordings.

Also beware that if it records an addon link it will stop whatever is playing and play that link to work out what the http url is.

AutoPlayWith is not called record because you can get it to launch an external player or script instead.

Thank you very much for clarifying recording capability of this great addon.
I'll try what you said and report back if I stuck again Blush

Hi primaeval...  I just got around to installing your repo and incorporated my tvheadend streams and xmltv into tv guide. They do work but I ran into a few snags. There are two questions that I have:

1. The playlist that I entered (http://192.168.***:9981/playlist) was imported successful,  but all the streams display the playlist url and encrypted code. The channel names are not showing up withing the "addons streams" just the encrypted stream lines. It is difficult to match the channel stream name up with the tv names on the guide grid. Is there something that I need to change so the names appear like the tvheadend muxes?

2. Is there a way that TV guide can export my channel line up numbers from tvheadend into the guide grid?  I have spent a lot of time numbering my channels and I would have to repeat this procedure and it is very time consuming.

This is a nice addon and thanks for developing it for us.

If you import the playlist in "Settings \ Optional \ Import m3u" the tvg-ids from your xmltv and playlist should match up. They do for me.

However the source of truth for channel order in TVGF is the xmltv file.
In IPTV Simple Client or tvheadend PVR client it is the m3u file.

If you dump the xmltv to a file or look in the addon_data folder you can see that the tvheadend xmltv seems to be in a random order.
The m3u playlist is in the correct order.

You could reorder them in "menu \ Channels" but that is going to take a while to do manually.

I'll see if I can work out a way to do it automatically.

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2019-01-19

version 0.0.412
- Settings \ Optional \ Import m3u \ Order Channels by m3u Position

@bizzs see if this helps.
If the m3u order is correct and the xmltv is wrong turn this setting on.
It will re-order the channels by their position in the m3u file.

Use "Settings \ Source \ Reset on Start" to get back to the xmltv ordering.

On first load it might not work. Just start TVGF again.

RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - bizzs - 2019-01-19

Thank you Primaeval for your effort, but this did not work for me.  The streams, logos and xmltv descriptions all lined up perfectly but the channel are all scattered and not in the same channel order as I have setup in tvheadend setup.  Do you think it would be possible to modify your script to where the user could assign his own channel number like tvheadend allows?  For example under the channel configuration section I can double click the cbs channel and assign it number 2. Tvheadend will map the channel in numerical order how I want it to appear in the guide.  This would make life much easier instead of sliding channels from the top to the bottom.  Thoughts?

Thanks
