Ken.

Isn't your fire place blocking a corner of the TV? I was looking at your setup.

Hi Randall,

No, we have a full unobstructed view of TV from anywhere in this half of the house.

I current have a 500GB, 1TB and a 2TB for TV shows so be nice to get rid of the 1TB and 500GB transfer to 2TB then 2TB will transfer over to 3TB.

If all work out I plan to replace the 2TB and buy two more to replace my 2TB movie drive with one to spare maxing out my media sonic 4 bay device.

Randall, a co-worker is considering the Mediasonic. Have you had a good experience with it?

Read post #2802 I already answer this. Yea I love it. One thing I forgot to mention is that I play 720p video from it with no breakup or pausing. I don't do 1080p because my laptop which is connect to my HDTV can't handle them. I have an Intel Mobile 965 Express on board card so I believe that's why 1080p has issues. I will be building an HTPC sometime this year or next. I am fine with 720 anyway looks good to me on my 32 inch HDTV.

Speaking of a new HTPC you should check out this BYO PC that I stumbled across. Almost 10,000 systems sold and 100% positive feed back.

I'm assuming that the Settings, Misc, Media Sources Editor is the area that controls how EMM handles Media Stubs. What changes to the default settings should I make to that screen or "Audio & video Codec Mapping" to work properly?

The set is not part of movie details but is a group of movies

Add a field for sets in the details editor. Maybe a pulldown list or something.

Source for the drop down list could be the entries from the Sets Manager.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - m.savazzi - 2013-02-17

I'm still not convinced.

Tag: I will add the keywords from TMDB shortly Smile once I finished the new scraper
Genere: is a property of the movie and is imported from the scraper

Set: is not a property of the movie nor can be found online, you can define them as you like, freely

This is why I found a little confusing having a set property in the edit movie...
There is not official-online sets nor an unique way of creating them

I am going to build my own using this HTPC case It can hold like 10 hard drives and 2 optical drives.

I can't remember, but I don't think that "Sort Title" is scraped either, but yet it is in the edit screen.

In any case, it sure would provide a lot of convenience not being forced to go into the MS Mgr just to assign one simple item.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - m.savazzi - 2013-02-17

yes Sort Tile is scraped Smile

In any case will look into it, if is possible to do...

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - m.savazzi - 2013-02-17

Nuntio vobis magnum cum gaudio: TMDB native scraper 1.3.0.10 has been released to GitHub.

It does use v3 API and imports all possible information.
should be finished but to be polished.

Language files are ok

Please note that this version scrapes images from TMDB for sure but the others are not yet implemented!

Note: I used the great library WatTMDB v.0.6:http://wattmdb.codeplex.com/

As much as I like discussion of HT setups, can we try to keep on topic in this thread? Given the size of the thread already, off-topic posts just make it more difficult to find the information people are looking for.

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - Randall Lind - 2013-02-17

sorry So when are we getting a new version? We may need a new thread for 2.0

RE: New Home for Ember Media Manager (Official Thread) - orbtwin - 2013-02-17

this is my wishlist for Ember:

* rename for tv-shows.
* add a watched/unwatched checkbox in the edit movie/tv-show/episode.
* add the banner.jpg for the tv-show, additionally. I'm not interested for season-banner. Only for the show banner.
* possibility for scrape looking into episode folders.
* possibility for select and download stuff from www.fanart.tv , selecting the original name of the movie/show. Like MediaElch.
* build a html report for selected movies, not whole library.

...as i mentioned
otherwise...great for everyone!!

we are working on 1.3.0.x

2.0.0.0 is owned by Boderick but he is still busy with personal stuff (from his last post)

Up to DanCoopers to publish 1.3.0.10 or you can get my trunk 1.3.0.x from GitHub and compile it Smile

To implement it correctly, taking in account ALL possible crazy variables and XBMC flexibility, will create another program Smile like Advanced Renamer

Can you be more specific on you'd like to see?

(2013-02-17, 20:02)orbtwin Wrote: * add a watched/unwatched checkbox in the edit movie/tv-show/episode.

Which is the use of this? is not part of XBMC NFO (as far as I know) and would not be aligned-updated with YAMJ or XBMC.
How you want to change it?

Isn't it already there? can you explain better what is missing?
Also why is needed? aren't we now fully Frodo compliant?

(2013-02-17, 20:02)orbtwin Wrote: * possibility for scrape looking into episode folders.

this is the sub folder with 1 episode each?

read the thread, I will add that to the new TMDB native scraper (soon or after) I just released Smile

how you do that today? Smile
