RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - rogerwilco340 - 2013-03-24 Hey Giftie, I fixed it!!!!!! I'm only posting a follow-up to possibly assist those who might be having the same problem. After hours of experimentation , I was able to get the CE script to recoginize the correct audio codec when queuing blu-ray ISO files, thus playing the correct corresponding audio video. Here's how I did it! Several days ago, I had moved the entire "Cinema Experience" folder (along with all subfolders) to another drive (my C: drive)...This is when I first noticed the above mentioned behavior with blu-ray ISO files. I finally moved the entire "Cinema Experience" folder (again, along with all subfolders) to its original drive, pointed CE to the correct paths in the settings menu, and guess what?!...Like magic, everything started working again!!! So, I guess it was a problem with the path...Go figure!? Thanks again! RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - rogerwilco340 - 2013-03-24 CaptainKen, Unfortunately, the celebration was short lived...It played the first blu-ray ISO file with no problems (correct audio video), but failed to work on every single file I tried to load after that...Like I said in an earlier post, it either defaults to the THX video, or completely skips the audio video portion of the playlist/queue. I'm going to now try to roll back to an earlier version of CE (maybe 3.0.0), and see if this helps...I tried Frodo 12.0 again, but still observed the same behavior...I know it worked before on 12.0, but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong...Something has definitely changed!? RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - rogerwilco340 - 2013-03-24 Okay folks! Finally, for real, figured it out!!! Working with Frodo 12.1, I rolled back to CE 3.0.2, and now everything works!!! Per the CE script, I can queue up Blu-ray and DVD ISO files, and have it correctly identify the audio videos to play...Yeah! Giftie and CaptainKen, thanks for your help! Boblight not working with Cinema Experience - MrMario64 - 2013-03-24 When I am using Cinema Experience Boblight won't work. I only use the trailers option, and it's streaming them from apple. Using the "The Trailers" addon boblight works fine. Even when the movie starts, there is no boblight activity. Does anyone have any idea what is going on and what I can try to fix it? I have tried different skins, different movies, different settings in both boblight and CE, all have the same result. Thanks a bunch! No idea why this might be happening. A debug log may shed some light on it. Yeah it's weird. I just installed Eden and tried cinema experience there. All is OK then. I'll try some more stuff RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - shivanair - 2013-03-24 CE is not working with new ACE skin. Please help http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=159405 Re: RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - giftie - 2013-03-24 (2013-03-24, 20:20)shivanair Wrote: CE is not working with new ACE skin. RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - MrMario64 - 2013-03-24 Here is a pastebin for the CinemaExperience vs Boblight issue. http://pastebin.com/tHk678Kh Something else I should point out, CPU usage when starting the main movie (after trailers etc) is at 120 to 130%. When starting without Cinema Experience it's at 50 to 60% Something is hogging up obviously Let me know if you need anything else, like the log of the eden version perhaps? It may also have difficulties with video playlists. Quote:Something else I should point out, CPU usage when starting the main movie (after trailers etc) is at 120 to 130%.Though I can tell you that the cpu value is not accurate... one, you wouldn't be able to actual play a movie. The reason the cpu rating is that Cinema Experience runs a test during the last video, waiting for end of the video, since your movie is last, the script runs this test. As long as there is no freezing, I wouldn't worry too much. It may also have difficulties with video playlists. When I queue movies and play them from the playlist it works fine, is there anything different in the way you use the playlists as I use it manually ? the % of CPU does is measured externally, the problem is that the fans start revving up, thats bugging my cinema experience it could of course be an issue with boblight, thing is that everything works fine separately (trailers, playlists, movies) it's when CE does it it breaks. What should be my next move? It may also have difficulties with video playlists. To eliminate the fans from running during the movie, you can enable the movie theatre outro, this way the movie is not the last video played. As for boblight, I have no method of testing it and Cinema Experience. You have to manually download and install the frodo version of CE though RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - MrMario64 - 2013-03-25 Gifty, about bob light. Boblight is actually running, but the lights refresh very very very little. As if there is a huge lag, lets say you see the lights change every 10 seconds or so a little. Hypothetically speaking, could it be that CE keeps boblightlight from grabbing from the screen due to it doing other things? End result is that boblight is running but isn't granted any time to grab data? Anything different in that regard between Frodo version and Eden? Thanks for the awesome work on the plugins! |
