I've been running scenarios on the test folder that you supplied and couldn't get the same results as you with Re-Scrape IMDB... always kept the current thumbs. Then rikardkk posted and made me think you're running into the same thing. If you hit "Change Movie" it wipes out all the current files/data for that movie, including the extra thumbs. Are you sure you're rescraping, or are you changing the movie? EDIT: And for everyone... our website is back up and running (thanks eddiefantastic for donating the server!). We still need to tweak a few things and add some content to the wiki, but at least it's up. lol We're also now on facebook, so that's yet another avenue for contact: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ember-Media-Manager/222399349132 I really don't know anything about facebook, so it's probably going to be slow going for a while on there. lol - hacku - 2009-12-28 Any idea when the Wiki will be up on the website? - nul7 - 2009-12-28 hacku Wrote:Any idea when the Wiki will be up on the website? It's up, there's just nothing on it yet. lol eddiefantastic has volunteered to head up the wiki, but the more the merrier. If you're willing to contribute, feel free. Ed probably won't be able to get much going until after the new year. - hacku - 2009-12-28 nul7 Wrote:It's up, there's just nothing on it yet. lol eddiefantastic has volunteered to head up the wiki, but the more the merrier. I'm not all that familiar with EMM just yet which is why I was looking for some type of guidance... lol My friend and I actually had a question about the "Clean Files" option. (he posted in the EMM forum already) If I'm guessing correctly, you would place a check mark next to the files you want to clean up/remove from the movie folders, correct? And if so, once you check which files you want removed from the movie folders, do you have to rescrape the entire movie collection in order to have those files removed? - nul7 - 2009-12-28 hacku Wrote:That's fine... As posted on the ember forums: Quote:For the standard cleaner, the items you check are the ones that will be deleted. For the expert cleaner, any file with an extension NOT listed in the whitelist (or a the valid video extensions list if that option is checked) will be deleted. In order to start the cleaner, simply navigate to Tools > Clean Files... or hit Ctrl+Alt+C. Hope that helps! - hacku - 2009-12-28 nul7 Wrote:You are correct. Are you sure you're rescraping, or are you changing the movie? OK i think i figured out what i was doing wrong that was causing the extrathumbs to get deleted. I had never hit the 'Scrape Media' button, out of fear of screwing things up in my big folder of movies, which only has video/extrathumbs - no .nfo files (for the most part). Instead, i was selecting movies individually and hitting 'Re-Scrape IMDB', which seemed to do the same thing as 'Change Movie' and deleted extrathumbs most of the time. If i use the 'Scrape Media' button and let it scan that way first, it doesn't delete my extrathumbs. So i guess i was doing it wrong out of fear that a big scan would screw stuff up. I guess what i learned is that if you click a movie individually without ever having ran a 'Scrape Media' on it and hit 'Re-Scrape IMDB' it will treat it the same as 'Change Movie and delete xtrathumbs. To scrape an individual movie and keep xtrathumbs, the proper way to do it is to Mark it and then hit 'Scrape Media - Marked Movies' Of course, you could always add a 'Scrape Media' button beside 'Re-Scrape IMDB' to avoid confusing idiots like me ![]() I thought i was going crazy there for a while lol. Now i'm doing it right and loving it. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this awesome program ![]() - itchy_balls - 2009-12-28 Been running EMM for quite some time. Scraped all my 300+ movies. I ran into a weird issue last night. I tried scraping 3 new movies but for some reason it's not putting the movie title, year and plot. It scrapes actors and media tags into the nfo file just fine. I know it's scraping the right movie because extrathumbs, fanarts and etc. are downloaded correctly. I tried checking the OFDB settings under the Scraping option and it scraped what i'm missing but of course results were in German. Trouble with EMM r1102 - Concha - 2009-12-28 I have been using version r626 for a while and have scraped all my 550 movies on my PCH (Popcorn Hour), and I must say EMM rocks. But. I thought I should upgrade to version r1102, which I did. But now I got problems. the r1102 version doesnt read all of my old posters, fanart and info,(but a few of them) but r626 does. Even if I try to rescrape it wont show the posters, fanart or info i have chosen. What should I do? Am I doing something wrong? I have checked the settings and they look the same. Or should I stick with the r626 version? HELP! - Concha - 2009-12-28 Concha Wrote:I have been using version r626 for a while and have scraped all my 550 movies on my PCH (Popcorn Hour), and I must say EMM rocks. I have solved it. What movie is this happening for? Can you reproduce this repeatedly, and if so, what steps do you take to get these results? reverse batch rename - proximity - 2009-12-29 renamed my movie dir with batch rename, since i only wished to rename the sub dir , not the file name i blanked the file pattern field and hit rename . i now have about 200 .avi , .mkv files with no name any way to reverse the process ? :\movies\Wolf Creek\Wolf Creek.avi :\movies\Wolf Creek\.avi - sphere - 2009-12-29 proximity Wrote:renamed my movie dir with batch rename, since i only wished to rename the sub dir , not the file name i blanked the file pattern field and hit rename . i now have about 200 .avi , .mkv files with no name any way to reverse the process ? Hi, you can do batch rename again, but this time you should use the pattern "$T" on the filename. Youre Movies will be named like the Movie-Title then. Im not 100% Sure, but if you want to have the name of the Folder for the File, you should be able to use the pattern "%D" for Filename, then youre movie-Files will be named like the parent-Folder. Regards, sphere - proximity - 2009-12-29 even after a reload of the source bulk rename only see's 50 or so files ? |
