RE: VDR VNSI Client connection lost - FernetMenta - 2014-08-23 there is an older version of vnsi in team xbmc ppa. please do sudo apt-get purge vdr-plugin-vnsiserver sudo apt-get install vdr-plugin-vnsiserver=1.1.0~git20140723-3f11c8e-0yavdr0~trusty RE: VDR VNSI Client connection lost - paskuk - 2014-08-23 Now the connection lost error is solved! Thanks But there's a new message "VNSI Client: Channel scrambled". And after a few seconds my TV-signal freezes By the way: we still have text "1.0.9" here xbmc@xbmc:~$ apt-cache showpkg vdr-plugin-vnsiserver Package: vdr-plugin-vnsiserver Versions: 1:0.9.4-14trusty (/var/lib/apt/lists/ppa.launchpad.net_team-xbmc_ppa_ubuntu_dists_trusty_main_binary-amd64_Packages) Description Language: File: /var/lib/apt/lists/ppa.launchpad.net_team-xbmc_ppa_ubuntu_dists_trusty_main_binary-amd64_Packages MD5: af651a0ec0c4c3bc571dc245f133cf8a 1.1.0~git20140723-3f11c8e-0yavdr0~trusty (/var/lib/apt/lists/ppa.launchpad.net_yavdr_unstable-vdr_ubuntu_dists_trusty_main_binary-amd64_Packages) (/var/lib/dpkg/status) Description Language: File: /var/lib/apt/lists/ppa.launchpad.net_yavdr_unstable-vdr_ubuntu_dists_trusty_main_binary-amd64_Packages MD5: b164b0df206efe6ef9ddcdeeaa5d2b91 Reverse Depends: vdr-plugin-vnsiserver:i386,vdr-plugin-vnsiserver vdr-plugin-vnsiserver5,vdr-plugin-vnsiserver vdr-plugin-vnsiserver-dbg,vdr-plugin-vnsiserver 1.1.0~git20140723-3f11c8e-0yavdr0~trusty vdr-plugin-vnsiserver:i386,vdr-plugin-vnsiserver Dependencies: 1:0.9.4-14trusty - libc6 (2 2.15) libgcc1 (2 1:4.1.1) libstdc++6 (2 4.6) vdr-plugin-vnsiserver:i386 (0 (null)) 1.1.0~git20140723-3f11c8e-0yavdr0~trusty - libc6 (2 2.15) libgcc1 (2 1:4.1.1) libstdc++6 (2 4.6) vdr-abi-2.1.6-yavdr0 (0 (null)) vdr-plugin-vnsiserver:i386 (0 (null)) Provides: 1:0.9.4-14trusty - 1.1.0~git20140723-3f11c8e-0yavdr0~trusty - Reverse Provides: Why does apt-get take an older version? How can I tell it to take the latest? Thank you so much it was the first time I could use my brand-new Sundtek adapter, at least to get an impression how it could be ;-) And now two more errors instead of TV: "VDR VNSI Client - Channel: no data" an "unknown error" RE: VDR VNSI Client connection lost - paskuk - 2014-08-23 After a REBOOT things are PERFECT. THANKS A LOT!!!! RE: VDR VNSI Client connection lost - FernetMenta - 2014-08-23 Quote:Why does apt-get take an older version? How can I tell it to take the latest? I am no packaging expert. I think that the versioning schema of the two packages differ which confuses the package manager and it does not know what version is newer. Will ask our packaging expert when I get a hold of him. For the other issue please post an exact description of whats happening along with a debug log (xbmc + syslog) RE: VDR VNSI Client connection lost - FernetMenta - 2014-08-23 simultaneous posts ![]() RE: VDR VNSI Client connection lost - paskuk - 2014-09-20 Since everything went perfect, I decided to get new hardware: Intel NUC D34010WYK (Core i3), 30GB SSD, 2GB RAM, slot-in DVD writer USB. Prefect setup for me. But: Setting up everything as described in this post, I get a VNSI connection error again. Things work only after manual restart of VDR. Code: xbmc@xbmc:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/vdr status I though, that my Sundtek driver is not ready at the time when VPN is started. So I tried this http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=185969. It didn't help! Any suggestions? Would love to go into "production" with my new system :-) Here is some debug data: /var/log/syslog: http://pastebin.com/JDHHveC4 Code: apt-cache showpkg vdr-plugin-vnsiserver Code: xbmc@xbmc:~$ apt-cache showpkg vdr RE: VDR VNSI Client connection lost - FernetMenta - 2014-09-21 Yes, vdr starts without the dvb device being ready. That's why I don't like those outdated system v scripts. I use upstart which waits with starting vdr until dvb is ready. |
