Can you tell me whether this fix (https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/6036) will be available in a v14-build soon, or will it only be patched for current v15 master?
Also, is there any difference between SD- and HD-channels concerning ts-format? Because I'm also experiencing this issue with HD-channels which are H264 and not MPEG2.

It is up to the release managers whether they want to release a 14.1. I don't know yet.
Regarding mpeg-ts, this transport stream is used for h264 and mpeg2. So this should fix the issue for SD and HD.

Unfortuntely the problem persists with Helix v14.1 RC1 built on Dec. 27th...
Didn't this fix get in there?

Today's build v14.1rc1 (KodiSetup-20141231-dd220cf-Helix.exe) works again!
Starting a channel takes longer than before, but all channels do play
