RE: CCM for Helix - flhthemi - 2015-01-02 The ability to place a shortcut where we want it would be nice! Sorta like this: Shortcuts Placed RE: CCM for Helix - T-bird_se - 2015-01-02 New year starting good, happy to see you back I don't have any wishes for new/more functions if the old ones gets in, it's enough for my needs RE: CCM for Helix - User 112425 - 2015-01-02 (2015-01-02, 13:43)Mudislander Wrote: Goal for CCM-Helix is on initial install to look exactly like Confluence, then being able to change stuff through settings. I think this approach is excellent. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. So, this sounds very portable to future versions. RE: CCM for Helix - erichter - 2015-01-03 Will this skin automatically update or does it need to be part of a repository? RE: CCM for Helix - Mudislander - 2015-01-03 Official repo does not allow MOD's So will have to be in a 3rd Party Repo, that providing the repo is installed the MOD will auto update. I've not added the MOD to any repo yet as still a few things to complete hopefully by the end of the weekend I will have the Home page up and running with the ability to change main menu, submenus, backgrounds, addons and widgets. (widgets may only be recently added or none for now) RE: CCM for Helix - xbmcwayist - 2015-01-03 Glad to hear you are still up for making this skin work for Helix. It is indeed the main one I use as it can be customized so much more than any others out there. Basically, combining your skin and the Super Favourites addon and I can make a visually-stunning skin. Thank you. As for any suggestions, I am curious if you plan to add support for ExtendedInfo script: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=160558. It is essentially a fork of Metadata Actors script, which is supported in the latest CCM. Also, some other things I've tweaked from your CCM include the following. They may or may not be possible and/or even applicable for you: - Added 7-icon set: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=160184&pid=1786787#pid1786787 - Added custom fonts (specifically ones which handle non-Latin characters) - Added custom backgrounds - Added OSD buttons, including Aspect Ratio OSD button and one for use with a certain downloading addon a cannot name here Nothing too crazy, but very handy additions for me, especially the font and Aspect Ratio OSD button RE: CCM for Helix - Majster - 2015-01-03 Great news! One thing that I want, that you almost fixed in the old version was the option to view music videos at the main menu in thumbnail view. You gave us this option but the view never worked. I hope this will be done this time RE: CCM for Helix - figasse - 2015-01-03 Hello Mudislander! It's great that you're creating a CCM for Helix from scratch ;o) I'll be holding off until you've got that fairly stable to update to Kodi. One thing that would be great, not sure if it can be done though is if you would have a script to import all the customised menus from the old CCM to the new one and save some time? I'm sure we've all adopted CCM for its customisation capabilities, and we've all customised at length ;o) Keep it up! Cheers Edit: Ah something tell me it will auto update and keep the same settings? COOL RE: CCM for Helix - Mudislander - 2015-01-03 A.T.M. it'll be difficult to import settings from previous CCM. A. Building it alongside CCM so install directories are different. B. Have actually used some code from Hybrid so internal variables are different I appreciate it would be easier to just import old settings, but from my side everytime I redo some code it gets a few small improvements due to learning and the test of time. It's not worth trying to make all these adjustments backwards compatable. @Majster - I'm sure we can get it in this time @xbmcwayist - Once the basics are up and running we can have a look at other 3rd party scripts RE: CCM for Helix - mentat - 2015-01-03 I too, am looking forward to some customizaton in Confluence, as close the "look and feel" of the original, as possible. @Mudislander Will you be posting the new skin/repo here (in this thread), when you have someting for us to test/install? Edit: Found the link for skin.ccm.helix on GitHub in previous post. Thanks. RE: CCM for Helix - User 112425 - 2015-01-04 Hi, I think that the Home Menu if off center... @Mudislander Try the following as the holiday theme background. It looks awesome with the snow effect. RE: CCM for Helix - Mudislander - 2015-01-04 Changed Holiday background & synced to git - You've only got a day or two before it switches off (12 days after Xmas) RE: the menu - when did you clone the git ? Probably because base code is from Hybrid which has wider segments. I did convert to original confluence size but may have missed a measurement somewhere. The plan is to have the wider segments eventually as menu will use user items. Tested to openelec too, same thing happens. What is the name of xml file with the menu? RE: CCM for Helix - Mudislander - 2015-01-04 Okay, will look into it. ATM working on finishing submenus after which MOD should be usable. |
