I tested and here are some results:
Working:
-MP3s play correctly
-AVC MP4 videos play correctly
Not Working:
-MPEG-2 MKV (from a DVD extraacted with makemkv) does not play correctly. Audio works. Video does not display (the Kodi GUI is still displayed).

good, yet is easy to work on old android's with little modification .
About MPEG-2 video MKV did not work , I believe it to be :
video or kodi or any library in disposito missing or outdated because it did not change at this point.
The important thing is that we have a version of Kodi 15.2 Isengard ( dubbed the splashscreen as 15.3) running on android 4.0.3 .

I don't use MPEG-2 DVDs much. So it is not important to fix. :-)
Can you share your "build script" so others can try compiling too?

This is awesome mate. Glad someone is still doing non neon after everyone said it couldn't be done. Works fine on my Acer a500....

just not compiling with PVR's , will generate a new one with the PVR , but already vu generate kodi 16 Jarvis .
