I've changed the main post links as well. PLease let me f they work. https://github.com/zcsizmadia/pvr.hdhomerun/releases/tag/Initial https://github.com/zcsizmadia/pvr.hdhomerun/releases/download/Initial/pvr.hdhomerun.1.jpg https://github.com/zcsizmadia/pvr.hdhomerun/releases/download/Initial/pvr.hdhomerun.2.jpg https://github.com/zcsizmadia/pvr.hdhomerun/releases/download/Initial/pvr.hdhomerun.3.jpg RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - bry - 2015-11-09 @zcsizmadia cool - got it working. one request that the original add-on has - hide protected channels by default : RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - rpcameron - 2015-11-09 I haven't had a chance to pull your sources down and give this a look, but it appears promising. May I ask, what are you using as the base of your source? Is this pulled from their video addon? If that's the case, it would be great to see this extended into a full and proper PVR addon. To the poster that asked about SD's DVR Kickstarter: SD is creating their DVR backend, and using their existing Kodi video addon to work as the PVR client. They have not expressed any interest in re-releasing their video addon as a proper PVR addon, which is unfortunate, because HDHomeRun addon interface is pretty terrible. In addition, they also have shown no interest making their guide available as a traditional EPG, but rather is sticking with the same guide interface they are currently using, or asking users to rely upon searching for finding shows to record. Personally, I would love to see SD's DVR backend succeed, and to see a real Kodi PVR addon be developed to utilize their backend. However, until that occurs, it looks like we'll have to make do on our own, and use a subpar solution in the interim. (My situation involves 2 HDHomeRun Primes controlled through MythTV 0.27.5, but this is far from the best solution. TVHeadend cannot deal with the Primes properly, and DVBLink required workarounds, and has no conflict resolution/priorities.) I am following this project with interest, and am looking forward to giving it a try, and hopefully helping it along. IF you disable the channel from the GUI, it shouldn't appear in the Channel Lineup? RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - zcsizmadia - 2015-11-09 I will add a setting to hide protected channels. This should be very simple to do anyway. RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - mellomade - 2015-11-09 This is very cool! I knew someone would start something like this sooner rather than later! I have a 2 tuner setup (1 CONNECT and 1 EXTEND) and the PVR addon sees both of them fine - only thing is that the channels are read from each tuner and added to the guide. For example - I have the same 7 channels active on both tuners - but they all show up in the guide twice so 14 in total (duplicate channels for each tuner). Also - for some reason my guide in this case is blank - it will show what is currently on in the Channels menu but the Guide shows nothing. Let me know if you want to see a log. Thanks! edit - sorry - this is using the linux addon with OpenELEC 6.0 RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - zcsizmadia - 2015-11-10 (2015-11-09, 21:30)mellomade Wrote: This is very cool! Please get http://a.b.c.d/lineup.js from both tuners (a.b.c.d is the ip for the tuner) from a browser and please send it to me in a pm. Thanks! RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - mellomade - 2015-11-10 Done RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - Rickt1962 - 2015-11-10 Well just tried it on Raspberry Pi 2 running OSMC 15.2 and got the screen "Dependencies not met" RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - RockerC - 2015-11-10 (2015-11-09, 17:22)zcsizmadia Wrote:FilmOn, Njoy, and the IPTV Simple client PVR addons doesn't have recording features/options either. Do you think that there is any chance that this will be submitted and accepted to Kodi's PVR repo and mainline inclusion? It can be integrated into https://github.com/kodi-pvr and kodi without any effort, since it is using the cmake mechanism, and I am compiling through kodi source tree already. But might it not be possible to extend the PVR API in Kodi to let a PVR client addon to record/save streams to files locally so that the PVR client addon for Kodi acts as a DVR recorder? Anyway, what is your opinion about my other question in my first post about SiliconDust as a company developing their own native PVR client addon for Kodi as part of their Kickstarter? https://www.silicondust.com/contact/ https://www.silicondust.com/forum/ Have you tried to make contact with them about maybe collaborating on an open source PVR client addon for Kodi? I think that it would be both strange and sad if SiliconDust as a company would not be interested in a better experince accessing their HDHomeRun network tuners from Kodi's native PVR interface via the proper API for it. RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - clarkss12 - 2015-11-10 Mr. zcsizmadia, hope you don't mind, I am so excited about what you have accomplished, I made a YouTube video and will post a link here and on the SiliconDust forum. Thank you for this addon. BTW, I tried to install in on Kodi 16, the other day and it was not compatible. RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - clarkss12 - 2015-11-10 Here is the video I made showing your PVR addon in action. Thanks for your hard work creating this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTZoYjTChXU RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - rpcameron - 2015-11-10 (2015-11-10, 09:02)RockerC Wrote:(2015-11-09, 17:22)zcsizmadia Wrote:FilmOn, Njoy, and the IPTV Simple client PVR addons doesn't have recording features/options either. ]So will you be submitting it to the official kodi-pvr repo on github then or?(2015-11-09, 17:11)RockerC Wrote: Cool! Silicon Dust's DVR is not being done as a Kodi backend. Their client is a video add on, not a PVR add on. They said they plan to open the backend API when it's finished, but they are about 8 weeks behind schedule. (It was supposed to be released in October.) Someone could make a PVR add on using their backend, but presently it's not possible. RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - zcsizmadia - 2015-11-10 Checked in some changes: 1.0.2 - Setting to hide protected channels - Setting to hide duplicate channels The win32 prebuild binary is available in: https://github.com/zcsizmadia/pvr.hdhomerun/releases/tag/Initial |
