I'm having a hard time reading your posts.
Please at least use full stops or put each sentence on a new line like I do.
It makes it much easier to read.

You can search in each provider by the Kodi Search dialog on the left.
I'm not going to add a global search as it will download too much data.

Custom is for you to add your own xmltv files or urls and merge them into the output xmltv.xml file.

What error are you getting for koditvepg?
Post the error messages about program.plugin.xmltv.meld from kodi.log.

It was failing on RTÉ.
Try version 0.0.4.
It did work on Leia though without the fix.

You should just be able to Update xmltv Meld to 0.0.4.
If it doesn't work even on a Kodi reboot then uninstall the main repo and reinstall it.
The main repo should stay on 0.0.2 for the foreseeable future.

hi thanks for your reply , xmltv Meld seems to have auto updated as i have noticed that the channels have icons beside them , do i just look for my channels and add them thanks

hi thanks for your reply , ok i have added uk channels from koditvepg by right click mouse , then i have go to Press Update to generate an xmltv.xml and channels.m3u8 files in addon_data/plugin.program.xmltv.meld
close kodi and restart kodi open up xmltv.meld and it goes through the update process , it creates a m3u8 file if i open up this file with notepad plus this is all what i have in the m3u8 file #EXTM3U not sure what i am dong wrong thanks

You need to select the channels individually by left clicking on them.
Remove them by right clicking and Remove Channel.

If you want all the channels you might as well grab the whole file from the source provider rather than use xmltv Meld.

ok i reset xmltv Meld so it had no channels , i went to xmltv Meld koditvepg uk if i right click on uk and say add to xmltv it will turn yellow , if i go into the provider and left click on the channels it does not turn yellow untill it restarts xmltv Meld
all though it says it has updated / added channels i cannot seee them on the channels.m3u8 or the xmltv files thanks

I usually do a container refresh in my addons when something changes but it takes a while and gets really annoying when you need to add a lot of channels at once.
So this time you will only see what is selected if you back out of the provider and go back in.

What is yellow when you come out of the addon and go back in?
You should have the UK provider yellow and some channels below that yellow.

I assume your busybox is working and you have pointed to it in Settings.

You can test you have the right version by using a cmd prompt and running it.
It should output some information or tell you it can't run.

If those things work then press Update.
Wait for a start and finished notification and look in the addon_data.

You can look in the .storage folder and open the channels and xmltv files in a text editor.
They are python pickle files but you should at least be able to read if the xmltv url and channels have been selected.

You can try Reset to start again.

Something strange must be going on then.
Press "Reset".
Go into "Rytec".
Right click "add xmltv" to "UK/Ireland Freesat"
Go into "UK/Ireland Freesat"
Click on "BBC 1 HD"
Press "Update"
Post a link to your xmltv.xml and channels.m3u8 files.
