hey,I am an applicant in gsoc this year, this is my post on kodi forum: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=342302

my plan for the project "add a picture library" as i stated in the document 'll start at 24/4 by reading documentation, i know i may/may not be accepted but i want to stick with the plan i have put if i got accepted, so if you can provide me with a documentation for kodi to help me understand the kodi structure better - especially for the GUI library

(2019-02-27, 11:40)h.udo Wrote: It's official! We've been accepted as a participating open source organization in Google Summer of Code 2019!

Prospective students, these are the dates that matter:

  • March 25 (18:00 UTC) - Student application begins
  • April 9 (18:00 UTC) - Deadline to file your student application
  • May 6 (18:00 UTC) - Accepted student proposals are announced
  • May 27 - Coding begins.

Please pay special attention to the application deadline. Take time to craft a thoughtful project proposal and discuss it with the community and prospective mentors.

You are strongly encouraged to engage on the forums and join #kodi-gsoc on Freenode to discuss your project and to clarify any doubts you may have.

All has been very quiet with GSOC. A couple of deadlines have passed and no status updates.

Did students file their applications?

Have any proposals been accepted? If yes, which ones and who?

Only one student accepted this year then?

Only one, OpenGL shader support. I'm mentoring the project, hopefully with some co-mentors.

Will there be a blog post about the student and the project he/she will work on for GSoC this year? https://kodi.tv/blog
